ZeeK Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Hello everyone, could anyone who owns VIKING CHESS set please take a very close look at the stickered shields and compare your observation with the image under the link: SHIELDS CLOSE-UP PICTURE, 3 MB (!!!) It looks like the one on the right (the "chess" ones) have dotted-printing, while the regular ones on the left do not. Could anyone please confirm that these shields in the chess set have the same "dotted" stickers? Many thanks in advance! Quote
fenrir Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 I will take a look this evening. (not at home right now) fENRIR Quote
Fox1984 Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Very interested too - Anybody please if you can take a close foto of chess shield Quote
Shtick Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 I don't have the shields, but can tell you about the printing. The "dotted" printing appears to be process colors, made up of layers of different colored dots that create the final color. The solid shields are spot colors, where the ink is 100% of each color, so no pattern shows. Quote
Fox1984 Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 the question is: are that chess-shields on a photo real lego shields (with dotted printing) or its a fake (home-made stickers)? thats why i'm interested in high quality photos from owners of this original set... Quote
