Tingy Xplode Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 (edited) I thought of ideas yesterday night for Licensed themes LEGO could do. Then something popped into my head. Club Penguin. And when I mean a Club Penguin theme, I'm serious. It would contain great minifigs, molds, and pieces. What do you think about this idea? I made a topic so we could discuss this without crowding the License Theme Ideas topic. If you don't know what Club Penguin is, check out this link: Club Penguin. Natman8000 Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 If this happened, I might shoot myself in the foot. Lego is already selling itself out to a younger audience with fig themed sets (in that sense I mean the figs are the main incentive for the purchase). And isnt club penguin an online neopet knock off? I don't see what appeal molds of collectible penguins would be anyway. I doubt lego will even make a theme for a online game. Star wars game? yes, and look at what a great set that brought us
JimBee Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I don't really know an audience who plays that game besides 10-year-old girls, so I don't really think it would be profitable for TLG to make a theme out of it. The GFOL (or FFOL) community, young ones especially is minuscule on any scale, and for the boys that like the game... well, do you really think many kids would get Lego Club Penguin over another Lego theme, or a race car or Barbie doll? I'd doubt it.
lightningtiger Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Club Penguin - right...........check please ! OMG ! TRU had the rights to selling the toy line of this theme - most are on clearance now (the last that I knew anyway) ! They would be better off with good old Mickey Mouse ! I'm a conformist! everyone (but maybe not Club Penguin) !
Shadows Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Theme speculation and general "OMG, they should make!", such as it is, occurs here. Closed.
