Darth Legolas Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 (edited) Prompted by this topic: Link With Lego's ever expanding great repertoire of licenses, some great, amazing things can come out of it, for me, I would love, and do imagine seeing Star Trek and LOTR sets. But, that also means some bad things can come out. Some really, really bad kid's movies that honestly deserve to be burned and boxed could easily be made into Lego. Right now, Lego's locked in with Disney, and Disney has great things like Prince of Persia (although it knocked out Indiana Jones,) but besides their yearly award winning animated films, there are some really cheesy things going out. I recall, or I hope I recall Lego saying they would not expand to Disney channel. (1) So, with new licenses fluttering about, what really bad things can you see being boxed with a Lego logo? 1. Also note: With the Disney license, Lego should have Marvel rights, imagine those! (Not to forget DC and other comic companies. Dark Horse, because of Star Wars...) CMP Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Disney Hannah Montana Duplo sets. That thought makes me want to drown myself.
Zorro Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Pirates of the Carribean. Although I vastly prefere a normal Pirates line, this would be 10 times better then nothing!
Reaper052 Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Halo sets. There are more than enough MOCs, custom figs, and Megablox already and it really doesn't work in LEGO imho. Anytime people talk about potential new licenses Halo comes up. I think the best thing Megablox ever did was take this license, now Lego can't. And anything dreamworks, I can't stand their films but kids can't seem to get enough. Hopefully Disney license will last long enough to prevent this.
Svelte Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 You know what I fear most? That the Licensed forum will fill up with spammy 'Worst of' topics like Star Wars already has. 'What's the worst set?' 'What's the worst minifig?' 'What was the worst year for [insert name of license]?' blah blah blah. It's already gone off-topic in the first reply with brickme naming a License that already exists, so I'm locking this. And please refrain from posting more 'worst of' type topics. Thanks.
Shadows Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Worst fear for a license? Your face. Like Svelte said, no "worst" topics, they suck.
