Matija Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Here are two models I made, inspired by the LEGO Architecture series. (click on the picture(s) to get to the respective galleries) 1. Brandenburger Tor (Berlin) Original: 2. Moscow State University Original: Quote
BlueBard Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Wonderful jo, really! I really like the way you did the horses on Brandenburger Tor Quote
Rick Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Brandenburger Tor is great. I really like the half stud offset you used at the top. The use of studs-out below that to represent the decorations there works really well (never be afraid to show your studs ). I don't know the Moscow State University - I looked up some pictures just now - and it looks nice as well, especially the decorative element on top. It was clear what that was supposed to represent without even looking up pictures of the building. Quote
Matija Posted February 28, 2010 Author Posted February 28, 2010 ... the decorative element on top. It was clear what that was supposed to represent without even looking up pictures of the building. Yeah, it was an easy one to guess, wasn't it? I would've loved to be able to use the wand piece, but they never thought of making it in a normal colour... Quote
Zorbas Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Excellent work Matija! The Brandenburg Gate looks great and pretty accurate for a mini model. I'm really impressed when it comes to the quadriga's colour. It looks just like the real statues. Quote
prateek Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Nice Micro buildings! The Brandenburger Tor looks really nice, especially the statue on top. The University is very clean, and I like the red striping Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 Just FANTASTIC 'Matija'! The first is beautiful and I agree with 'Bluebard' on the horses - very clever ! The second is even better ! Good work 'Matija' and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Gamer Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 (edited) Two really beautiful MOCs,I especialy like the Brandenburger Tor. Gamer. Edited March 1, 2010 by Gamer Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Both are very well made resemblances of the originals! I do think the university could do with some windows and on the inside walls of the brandenburger tor there are small grey figures visible, which could be easily made with a 1x2 technic brick and a 1x1 plate stuck to it or something.... Keep up the building! Quote
