Andre1983nl Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Hello, I was in the "big city" a while ago and saw that a toy-shop still had the set 6292 for sale! http://www.classic-pirates.com/sets/6292-enchanted-island 150 euro's is that expensive for a brand new set of 2001? Quote
Zorro Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Its somehow a higher price it seems. Click here for prices on Bricklink. Quote
Big Cam Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 For such an old set, I feel it's a decent price, but according to what a new set goes for on bricklink, it is a bit overpriced, of course there is no shipping that way. Quote
Zorro Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 So : Do it? ...I would. Because it would be safe and I would save the shipping costs. But it's a lot of money, so everyone should decide for their own if it's worth it or not. Quote
Ratshot Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 So : Do it? I recommend that you buy it. Its not very often that one finds an old set like this. Quote
funkybrick Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 (edited) Sure it's nice to buy a 9-year-old old set from a store and take it home, BUT you would get it cheaper on BrickLink. There's one for sale at the moment for 150$: *Click* I think it depends on the condition of the box. If it's very good, buy it from the store. If not, don't buy. funkybrick EDIT: Oh, and you should consider that there are two versions of the Enchanted Island. Maybe you want the original one from 1994? It features a nice parts tray! (I love parts trays... too bad they are extinct in today's sets ) Edited February 27, 2010 by funkybrick Quote

Blondie-Wan Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Zounds. I got my first copy at Toys 'R' Us sometime in 2002, I think; I want to say it was on sale, but I'm not sure now, all these years later. I ordered a second from LEGO Shop at Home on January 27, 2003 (neat to be able to retrieve order info that far back) for $45.99 (it was on clearance at the time). I wish I'd been able to get a slew of additional ones, given how much they seem to go up in value on the secondary market, but I'm really more interested in having them for my own enjoyment. My second came without a set of decals for the canoe, though, and I never requested replacements. Quote
