The Legonater Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 (edited) Here's for all you fans of the Legacy of the Force series. Wookiepedia site here: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Legacy_of_the_Force Basically, a war breaks out beetween Correlia and the Galactic Alliance. Meanwhile, Luke is plauged by visions of a 'man who doesn't exist' who will bring great pain to the galaxy. As this is all happening one of the main charecters is drawn closer and closer to the dark side. It featres the return of several long-abonded charecter (My favorite of which being Corran Horn) And is written by 3 different authers, Aaran Allstan, Karen Traviss, and Troy Denning. It's made of nine books- each author writing three. The books are: Betrayal: by Aaran Allstan DONE Bloodlines: by Karen Traviss DONE Tempest: by Troy Denning DONE Exile: by Aaran Allstan ON Sacrifice: by Karen Traviss Inferno: by Troy Denning Fury: By Aaran Allstan Revelation: by Karen Traviss Invincible: by Troy Denning I just finished reading Betrayal, and I can't believe how exiting it was. I've read Aaran Allstan before, but this was incredible So, I decided I'd start up a topic about it. No SPOILERS please, but don't worry, I'll have this series finished in a month or so. Clone OPatra Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 While I don't really mind that you started a topic to discuss this, your post is far too exclusionary. I can tell you're talking about a Star Wars book, but I have no idea what it is and you provide no background. Sure, people that aren't interested probably won't comment, but you need to provide more information as to what you are talking about. Please take the time to edit your post with some background and more detailed information about what you're talking about. Links to things are nice too; does it have a starwars.com page or a wookiepedia page? Thank you for your understanding. Quote
The Legonater Posted February 26, 2010 Author Posted February 26, 2010 Changes have been made. Sorry, I thought the title made it obvious. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Sorry, I thought the title made it obvious. The title made it obvious what the thing was that you were talking about, but people (like me) may have no idea what that thing is. Like I said, I could tell it was a Star Wars book, but I knew nothing about that book and therefore could not have much to say without looking up the thing myself. Thank you for taking the time to add information to the first post, since now people who had no clue before may be interested in discussing it. Quote

Like I said, I could tell it was a Star Wars book, but I knew nothing about that book and therefore could not have much to say without looking up the thing myself. If you don't already know anything about the book, how much will a lot of info in the first post help? It's like people replying to topics about movies they haven't seen, it's useless. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 If you don't already know anything about the book, how much will a lot of info in the first post help? If I know a little about the plot and characters perhaps I will become interested and wish to find out more, or decide that I don't care. Maybe I actually did read a book from the series but did not connect that with the mere title "Legacy of the Force," and the added information jolts my memory. Knowing something a bit more than the title is certainly helpful for people to figure out if they're interested or not. Quote
