I watched that recently. How did you like it? I enjoyed it, but felt that the ending was sort of anticlimactic.

I had seen it before, and really like it, but I agree on the ending. To me it's like going to a really nice buffet where you try a bit of everything--and it's all good--but just as you get up to grab seconds they tell you they are closed and you have to leave.

I just try and enjoy it on those terms.

I tried to watch Pete's Dragon (the original) last night. I did not enjoy it,

(Shudder)

We watched movies all the time as kids, and although we owned that one I only remember watching it once. For a reason.

Finally got around to watching the live action Jungle book.

I liked it. Probably one of the best (if not the best) of Disney's live action remakes. CGI was amazing and the casting decisions were spot-on. Also really happy that they kept some of the songs from the original!

I'd recommend.

Epic. Why was it even called that, it went for less than 2 hours? Cashing in on the popularity of the word at the time I suppose. A better title may have been "Honey, Fern Gully Shrunk The Kids". Very predictable but some good moments, and one of those cartoons that wasn't a waste of time to watch.

Also, Oz The Great & Powerful. 3 incredibly hot witches who can't get along, and only 1 charismatic dude, such a terrible shame. If only they could learn to share, haha

I think you nailed the reason for the name. I enjoyed that movie.

I watched Money For Nothing with John Cusack, Benicio Del Toro, Michael Madsen, Michael Rapaport, Debi Mazar, and Philip Seymour Hoffman. It was a good flick.

The Hidden - Great casting and an intriguing story set in a fallout shelter that keeps you guessing. There is a point though that would have been the perfect kick in the gut ending but for some inexplicable reason the film keeps going for another 5 minutes. At that point the conclusion is sloppy and to me dissapointing.

The movie is worth it for everything except the last five minutes.

super hero movies are supposed to be dumb and silly.

I don't know that I agree with this. In some cases, definitely.

Anyways, I watched Copying Beethoven. It's an interesting, although historically inaccurate film. It's a good fictionalization of Beethoven's life.

Oh believe me I like my serious super hero flicks.

After all those kind of movies are my favourites from this whole genre.

Some few examples:The Dark Knight,X-Men:Days of the Future Past,Man of Steel,The Wolverine.

But the majority of MCU movies (if not all them) are silly and dumb.

They rely to much on humor to the point that it hurts the film rather than the opposite.Take for example Thor:The Dark World or Iron Man 3.

I agree, though I haven't seen a couple of those you mentioned. I prefer the serious movies, but don't mind a bit of comic relief. The Dark Knight was a great example, and one of a few where the tone fit well with the source material.

Taken 3. It's like a ultra weak version of The Fugitive, except with Liam Neeson quickly saving the day against Russians. Can have a different villain?

Angry Birds. It was made for 6-year-olds, but there were so many inappropriate jokes and references that it doesn't really have an audience... plus it's total crap.

Captain America: Civil War... yep, it's still held up as one of my favorite Marvel movies.

Today I watched a movie called Indian Summer. It was about a group of people returning to a summer camp in Ontario, Canada that they attended in their youth. I found it enjoyable, and the cast was really good. Alan Alda was the lead, I suppose.

Just rewatched 2001: A Space Odyssey last night. Still a bit too slow in the beginning, but it's hard to go wrong with a classic!

Love this movie. This is what made me a huge fan of Kubrick.

Watched The Little Prince on Netflix tonight, it was pretty fun.

I'm eager to check this one out. I'm a fan of the classic book and animation.

The Conjuring 2. All the reviewers at the time said it was good but not as good as the original. I'm not going to lie I think in many ways it's much better then the first, and I adore the first one. I wasnt really scared at all but there were many clever shots and setups. The older I get the more I prefer style and creativity in Horror films then I do genuine scares.

NOTHING however will beat the time I went to see the first Conjuring in theaters at one in the morning and a drunk woman stripped naked and streaked out of the theatre.
