Admiral Croissant Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 The snake on Malfoy's staff is excellent I also like other small details a lot like Moody's eye for example. Great job! Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Great work! They all look pretty accurate. Quote
blhc11 Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Ah, ye slimy bird, how dare ye make a new part and not warn meh? You could ahve at least have posted a heads up on TBH, being that I spend most of my time there... Quote
The_Box Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Penguin, you're stuff is always awesome. will we be seeing anymore members of the Order or maybe even some Deatheaters? Groups shots would look great. Quote
The Penguin Posted October 9, 2010 Author Posted October 9, 2010 (edited) Thank you, guys for your kind words! ) Your comments are always appreciated! So I hope you'll like what I have for you today! I would also like to thank my dear friend ADHO15 for his help! It seemsthat he's even a better specialist in HP than in SW! ) Gryffindor Quiddich Team. (All teams are based on First year.) Captain and Keeper: Oliver Wood (An official fig, so nothing new here.) Chaser: Angelina Johnson Chaser: Alicia Spinnet Chaser: Katie Bell Beater: Fred Weasley Beater: George Weasley Seeker: Harry Potter Slytherin Quiddich Team. (Again Year One.) Captain and Chaser: Marcus Flint Chaser: Adrian Pucey Chaser: Graham Montague (Left one.) Keeper: Miles Bletchley (Red-headed one.) Beater: Peregrine Derrick (The one behind Flint. So I can afford to make him pretty generic. ) Beater: Lucian Bole Seeker: Terence Higgs (I really like how i managed to make his face. ) I hope you liked them! ) Any comments, please? ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Edited October 9, 2010 by The Penguin Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 God Lord, Penguin, you really went all out here! My favourite is Flint, great work on those teeth! Also, Katie Bell looks a bit... daft. There is nothing particularly bad about here, shes just not as good as the rest. Quote
ADHO15 Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Again... These are absolutely amazing figures, Penguin! I really love all the little customisations to their hair and faces (or quite big customisations in some places)! They must look fantastic all playing Quidditch together! I'm looking forward to seeing your upcoming part too. I should point out for any perfectionists looking that not all of the players were known to be on the teams in book 1, but at least the players are named and have their own look. Quote
blhc11 Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Nice job on tis new part, Penguin, but the two first female players(Alicia and Angelina) don't really look like they are girls... just men with lipstick... which is freaky... Cheers. By: A guy who spends way too much time on The Brick Hope(YOU'VE ONLY BEEN THERE ONCE, PENGUIN, HOW WILL YOU PLAY GOTHAM UNDERGROUND IF YOU DON'T GO THERE?) Quote
Derek Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Penguin! I just noticed this thread! all of these figures are fantastic! Harry Potter is what got me into Lego, so I always have a soft spot for seeing characters in minifigure version...so dorky, I know... If Lego decides to continue Harry Potter we NEED an updated Moody as well as Tonks (Yours is PERFECT! ) I would also like to see some more official GoF characters, like your Karkaroff and Maxine. Thanks a lot for sharing these, they are fantastic! -Derek Quote
YG-49 Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 God Lord, Penguin, you really went all out here! My favourite is Flint, great work on those teeth! Actually, Flint's just the official fig. I was going to make a full Quidditch team too! Great work on all of them, but I think Oliver Wood could have used a new face. The fig just seems so.. happy. Quote
It All Ends Here Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 You really make nice minifigures! I like how you made the staff of Lucius and you're version of Mad-Eye Moody is wonderful! Tonks is also very nice (very disappointing that Lego have never made her.) and Quirell is wonderful I love his head-piece! hope to see more soon! Quote
The Penguin Posted October 26, 2010 Author Posted October 26, 2010 (edited) Thank you people for your kind comments! ) I really appreciate them! ) Now its time for a new part! I should also thank my dear friend ADHO15 for his invaluable help and inspiration! ) I hope you'll like it. ) Argus Filch. (The way he should've been made by LEGO! ) Professor Septima Vector. (Being a University professor myself I have a certain soft spot for Hogwarts staff! ) Romilda Vane. (No, Harry does not have a hyppogriff tattoo in his chest. Ask Ginny! ) With Harry. ) Lavender Brown. (Ugh, I really don't fancy that type of a girl, still some may find her nice. ) "My Won-Won!" ) Cormac McLaggen. (I really like him in the film! A typical Gryffindor! ) That's really going to get interesting! Neville, Ron, Potter and Hermione. (Anyone missing? Stay tuned and you'll see the character in the next part! ) Pride of Gryffindor! ) I hope you liked that part! ) Any comments, please? ) good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Edited October 26, 2010 by The Penguin Quote
blhc11 Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Nice part, your Penguin-ness(TEEHEE) It might be a shot in the dark but I'd think the one who's missing can only be Ginny... I really enjoyed the girls you made(I only now noticed that you used the popstar hair, clever choice, professor(Now that I've found out about that(can you believ that I had no clue?)I'm gonna keep bothering you with that one, MUAHAHAHAHAH!) I would never have thought of it!) As for McLaggen I see him as an obvious Mod to the Draco Malfoy fig, but I'd bet more on him having either very bright or very dark hair, orange doesn't look like the color in the pic(Just sayin'). Cheere-o's, my feathered friend, and may the froth be with you(I really love my star wars pun-intended shirts, I'm thinking of starting a collection(if you hadn't noticed it's a play on starbucks, froth, get it?)) Bren Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Fantastic work, your attention to detail is outstanding Quote
ADHO15 Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Marvellous figs, Penguin! The simple changes are very effective and the major customisations are fantastic too! My favourite has to be Professor Vector. She's really well-done. I'm looking forward to the next part. Keep it up! Quote
badboytje88 Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 You never stop to amaze me with your lovely figures. Quote
Oky Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 "Those girls are gonna kill me, Harry!" Nice work again, The Penguin. Coincidentally, I used the same head-and-hair combinations for Harry and Hermione and the same hair piece for Lavender for my next Potter MOC. So don't say I'm stealing your designs. Looking forward to the next part! Quote
Duke Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Your custom figures are amazing! I wonder, do you keep them all assembled or use the parts for other figures after photographing? Do you have any plans for Harry Potter MOCs with your figures? Quote
It All Ends Here Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Again they are absolutly wonderful! And I'm in love with the Romilda Vane Minigif!! Quote
10or Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Great figs! What head did you use for Lavender Brown? It looks great! Keep up the great work! Quote

By- A guy who really doesn't feel like finishing his comment. It seems so. Thank you very much for your kind comment and critisizm. No, it's not Ginny. But I guess I'll have to delay posting a new part for now, since Castle figures have not been updated for quite a long time already! Fantastic work, your attention to detail is outstanding Thankl you very much! I hope you'll like the upcoming parts as well. ) Marvellous figs, Penguin! The simple changes are very effective and the major customisations are fantastic too! My favourite has to be Professor Vector. She's really well-done. I'm looking forward to the next part. I wonder, do you keep them all assembled or use the parts for other figures after photographing? Do you have any plans for Harry Potter MOCs with your figures? Ah, thats a very good question! I keep all my custom figures assembled. Every one of them. Which makes my wallet cry in pain, since I always buy multiple flesh figs and parts off BL! ) As for MOCs, I doubt it. I'm not such a great HP fan as some here, so I try to remain in my Batman-Castle MOCs sphere. but you never know! ) Again they are absolutly wonderful! And I'm in love with the Romilda Vane Minigif!! Good. She says you're handsome too! ) Great figs! What head did you use for Lavender Brown? It looks great! Keep up the great work! Thanks a lot! ) It's a modified Ginny's head. ) Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Quote
Lord Embo Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 (edited) I have a few ideas for future figures you should make: Cedric Diggory(1st or 3rd task of Triwizard Tournament clothes), Cho Chang(Ravenclaw uniform or ballgown), Barty Crouch Jr, James Potter(normal), Lily Potter(normal), Viktor Krum(Bulgarian Quidditch uniform) and Sirius Black(not in prison clothes with better hair). I hope to see some of these in your next series of figures, Penguin. Lord Embo Edited December 1, 2010 by Lord Embo Quote

That is okay to bump up such threads. But I prefer to do it myself with a new batch of figurer. BTW, currently I have two HP figures to share with you, people. Since I have no other ideas so far, I guess I should just post those two. Thank you very much for your kind commemt, The Real Walkers! You might wish to check my other custom figs in my signature. Well, it's been quite a while since the same idea came to me, but I really have no time now to do it. Perhaps sometime soon. Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Quote
