ACPin Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 I've also done Town besides SW and Castle like this MOC from June 2006. AC Quote
prateek Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Nice. It looks just like a motel I stayed at in Niagara Falls, without the beach of course Quote
gotoAndLego Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 That looks great. You should do the water with blue smooth tiles. Quote

That looks great. You should do the water with blue smooth tiles. No can do as this has been deconstructed. AC Quote
sens1992 Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Thats a lot of work! Nice detail. I really like the interior of the rooms. Wow, you've put in a lot of time in that motel. I really like. Quote
MetroiD Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 I noticed that earlier on Brickshelf and bookmarked it straight away This is a reall delightful MOC which brings many memories of Classic Town scenes - in fact, I think it would have been a perfect fit for the summer look of the EB Town forum Quote
Basiliscus Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Really nice work. Very scenic, especially with the custom background (clouds). I like the "MOTEL" sign with "No vacancies" below it. There's certainly a lot going on, it would make a really nice addition to a LUG display! Quote

I really like. Actually, all the rooms have interiors done though not shown in the pics. Half the time spent was on the minifigs which were reminiscent of our vacations. Really nice work. Very scenic, especially with the custom background (clouds). I like the "MOTEL" sign with "No vacancies" below it. There's certainly a lot going on, it would make a really nice addition to a LUG display! The poster was bought from either Staples or Office Depot, though for the SW themed works I managed to get posters with natural landscapes. I would have brought this and a few other MOCs had I been able to attend one of the Brick conventions. AC Quote
CommanderFox Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Impressive ACPin! I like the designe of the motel, reminds me of the cool setup in some old Lego catalogs from around the late 80s-90s that I happend to find in the family lego box. I like the pool, but it's kinda of weird having it right next to the beach. Great job with this MOC! CommanderFox Quote
Big Cam Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Oh wow, that's an awesome Hotel, I love the beachfront and the scooters available to rent. Reminds me of Hawaii. Great job!! Quote

CommanderFox The design was intentional to reflect the Doo Wop era and you'd be surpised that a lot of these motels had the pools by the beach.
