I'm new around here, so if I've put this in the wrong forum, feel free to move it.

Are there any tutorials or ideas online for creating realistic-looking heads and faces? I've tried using the Statue of Liberty as a starting point, but it's just too blocky for me. My Lego techniques are ancient -- I grew up in the 60s -- so I don't know how to avoid the blocky look.

The specific project I'd like to try is an Egyptian style statue of a seated or standing Pharaoh. The size isn't important, since it will be purely a LDD exercise, at least for the near future.

Thanks for any advice, links or pics you can provide!

Peter
