M4X1994 Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Thanks for the instructions, I built it today and had to be a little creative as I didn't have some parts like the panels and the wheels. Here are some pictures of what it looks like: Quote
Blakbird Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Thanks for the instructions, I built it today and had to be a little creative as I didn't have some parts like the panels and the wheels. Here are some pictures of what it looks like: With those wheels it kind of looks like a Delorean. Makes me want to do one all in silver. Quote
Jurgen Krooshoop Posted December 5, 2010 Author Posted December 5, 2010 Oh man, I feel honoured by you guys building my model. And Blakbird, a silver one would be really cool !! Quote
Blakbird Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Oh man, I feel honoured by you guys building my model. And Blakbird, a silver one would be really cool !! Ok then, here you go! It's not exactly a scale Delorean, but it's close enough! Bonus points to anyone who designs a scale Flux Capacitor and/or Mr. Fusion for it. Quote

Jurgen Krooshoop Posted January 2, 2011 Author Posted January 2, 2011 Thanks to Mixtil & Blakbird, I was able to correct a number of mistakes in the instructions for my Little Devil. The updated instructions can be found on my website Jurgens Technic Corner. And after correcting the instructions I felt the urge to build this model again. And of course I changed it a bit. First of all, the colours were changed (I really like the black/yellow theme, reminds me of the epic 8880). Due to the new colour, I gave it a different name: I call this one "Black Devil" Further improvements: * It now has return-to-centre steering, making it easier to controll * Receiver was placed higher for a better communication with the remote controll * Spoiler was changed. It now has a more Demon-like look * It now uses the 8878 rechargeable battery (no more batteries needed !) Quote
DLuders Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Whoa, the Black Devil really looks wicked! I like the color scheme and the rear spoiler. If TLG ever wanted to update their 8880 Supercar, yours would be it: Quote
rien Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Damn nice creators on this forum. I wish i could desing things like that with gearboxes and stuf thnx for al the unstruktions you guy's share! Quote
Blakbird Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Really nice upgrades! The black car looks great. Are the updated instructions for the old model or the new model? Quote
Jurgen Krooshoop Posted January 3, 2011 Author Posted January 3, 2011 Really nice upgrades! The black car looks great. Are the updated instructions for the old model or the new model? They're for the old model. I can make an MLCad-file of the new steering-system, if people are interested. Quote

Jurgen Krooshoop Posted January 4, 2011 Author Posted January 4, 2011 Here are the instructions for the return-to-centre steering that I implemented in my Black Devil Sportsar. Quote
Blakbird Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 I know this is an old topic, but I felt I needed to revive it with an update. I was browsing Brickshelf recently and happened upon vsync's folder in which I found a blue version of the Little Devil. It has a lot of part substitutions because of unavailability in blue. I liked it so much that I made the substitutions in my CAD file and ordered the parts to convert my copy to blue. I changed the engine pistons to blue and the shocks to white. While I was at it, I also converted the model to use the new servo motor for steering instead of the old M motor. What do you think? Quote
jantjeuh Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Looks nice! Those rims are truely buttugly though Quote

Bonus points to anyone who designs a scale Flux Capacitor and/or Mr. Fusion for it. You should use the fiber optic from the 8480 for that. That would be cool flux capacitor. Quote

As I was reading down I was somewhat learning about the model for the first time (of course I had seen it but not any details). I saw that it had the hockey triple spring for the return to center and I thought to myself...hmm...someone should convert this to the servo motor! Well it only took another few seconds of scrolling to find out someone did! I like it, I like it alot....and now I have to build it. Quote

The original version as shown in the instructions doesn't have any return to center at all. It just uses an M-motor. That's the version I have now, so this will be a big upgrade. The question is, are you going to build the red one or the blue one? Quote

Are there only 1 of each of the #7 and #8 panels? Hopefully so, because I remember you saying that those were quite rare from your build of Grazi Monster Truck. I did my monster truck in Pearl Dark grey so I didn't have to feel that pain. Quote
Jurgen Krooshoop Posted September 16, 2013 Author Posted September 16, 2013 This Blue-White combinatiion looks awesome. When I designed the set, the servo motor didn't exist yet. Good to know it can be converted, thanx !! Quote
jantjeuh Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Blakbird: would it be possible for you to create a parts list for the blue version? I love it, and would like to build it. Quote
Blakbird Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Blakbird: would it be possible for you to create a parts list for the blue version? I love it, and would like to build it. I already have created a parts list but you will need more than that. The blue version is not the same as the red version because of many part changes so the instructions will not work. Quote
jantjeuh Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 Ah, but I'm sure I can figure out how to build it using your parts list, the instructions for the red version, and your beautiful renders above ;-) Unless you dramatically changed things! Quote
