prof1515 Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 (edited) Do you mean Roman and Gothic arches? "Gothic" columns are really no different than "Roman" columns. They're cylinders, either smooth or fluted . The difference in most columns lies in the capital (the top part of the column). The classical orders of capitals are Doric, Ionic and Corinthian (there's also a variation on Ionic called Roman Ionic or Tuscan). Is this what you're asking about?
