lightningtiger Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Here we go minus half the unbuilt buildings and road plates, plus riverbank and train track, also bridge ! Whew ! You can see all my Aussie MOC's so far created by me here, I'm at a park as I write this post so hence the park in the background (guess it adds to the bush/country feel of it in a way). Let me know what you all think ? I'm a conformist! ! Quote
jonwil Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 (edited) Looks great there. Other than the aforementioned pub and menswear store, I think what you really need is a roadhouse, those are everywhere in the bush and would look great. Plus if you are doing vehicles, you gotta do a UTE (after all, UTEs are an important part of bush culture). Don't forget the guy in the drivers seat with the bushman's hat on and the dog in the back (although I dont know if its still legal to have dogs in the back of UTEs or not) Edited February 5, 2010 by jonwil Quote
michaelozzie Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Nice moc. Very good australia post and mitre 10 bulidings Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 5, 2010 Author Posted February 5, 2010 Thank you 'Jonwil' and 'Michaelozzie' for you very kind comments ! I'm thinking of doing a BP roadhouse, why ? I'm glad you asked. To go with the 3180 tanker, I'm not puting Octan on the the truck, but the colours and stickering will be that of BP (I hope) ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Big Cam Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 What the heck, dod you make all these creations and then wait to show them off all at once! This is great, right along with your post office and phone, this looks very spot on, the stickers although usually hated by most afol's, look great and really bring the MOC together. Outstanding again. You are a City builder no doubt! Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 5, 2010 Author Posted February 5, 2010 Thanks 'Big Cam' - glad you and many others are enjoying the town getting big. I currently working out the size of the menswear store, it's going to be a corner shop style, maybe a bit of Town Plan 50's injected to it. Stay tuned and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
sens1992 Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 This is so like classic town! Simple and efficient! I love that. Good job Lightningtiger! Quote
booga-b Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 that's so cool. Ur telstra phone booth is spot on. hahaha nice orange Quote
sebby Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 I like the way they all line up together I nearly missed the phone box (wondered why the end of your post office looked orange) DOH, glad I caught it though, for something so small it really adds a certian something. As for your pub, I will be interested in how that turns out, I have just ordered some bricks to try and build one my self. Quote
prateek Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 This is definitely really nice. Nice touch of taking the buildings to the park Quote
Brickus Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 I love the Mitre 10 and Australia post buildings. Great job. Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 6, 2010 Author Posted February 6, 2010 Thanks 'Aussie Tahu Nuva', 'Prateek', 'Sebby', 'booga-b' and 'Sens1992' for all your kind comments. More buildings are comming, the pub and supermarket might be last as they are going to be as or more complex than the Mitre 10 hardware store. I'm a conformist! ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 15, 2010 Author Posted February 15, 2010 Since I've finshed the menswear store........... There's more comming soon ! Comments welcome ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 23, 2010 Author Posted February 23, 2010 (edited) Since the tyre dealership is finished - I thought of night shots - there has been a power surge in New Mannum damaging the street lights etc., so the ETSA crews are out fixing them ! The Toll Ipec truck has just made it's last overnight express delivery of tools to the hardware store and luggage to the Mensland store too. Having spent much of my youth help my dad deliver goods to country businesses, some in the dead of night - I know how a town looks in the dead of the night ! Comments welcome - Oh don't worry they got the power back on - roads comming soon too ! I'm a conformist! ! Edited February 23, 2010 by lightningtiger Quote
slacker int Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 looking good! I bet the towns people of New Mannum are eagerly awaiting the new roads... (I'm thinking a massive road work construction scene is in order showing off this "ground breaking" day for the town) Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 23, 2010 Author Posted February 23, 2010 Great idea - but I have to redesign some of my shire vehicles to look more Aussie ! Thanks for your comment and idea 'slacker int' and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
