lego-maniac Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Hi. Here is a Moc inspired by Space Police 3 sets. I think I'll try to modify the front case and I'll make an access to the engine. All comments are welcom to improve this MOC ! :) txx Quote
lego-maniac Posted February 2, 2010 Author Posted February 2, 2010 here is an evolution of the moc I think I'll try to close the cockpit and to change the window shape . to be continued Quote
Aanchir Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 It would really improve with a trans. blue windshield, but I'm having a hard time telling what windshield piece you used, so I don't know if it even exists in trans. blue. I agree a new windshield piece might improve this, as the current one is awfully small relative to the rest of the MOC. The evolved version is improved a great deal IMO. Its long design makes it a lot sleeker, and the addition of extra colored lights greatly improves the color scheme. One thing I would do is try to add some wings. Most Space Police III sets, whether good guy or bad guy vehicles, have four wings: two in the front and two in the back. It would definitely add to the swooshiness of this design. Not sure what wing pieces you'd use or how you'd attach them, since the sides of the vehicle are so loaded with SNOT techniques. Do you actually own any SPIII sets? The minifig implies that you don't, which makes this even more amazing. You managed to mimic the "neo-urban" feel of the theme quite effectively. Quote
prateek Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 I really like the newer version, with the trans blue I agree with Aanchir that it could use wings, or at least to make it a bit wider Quote
lego-maniac Posted February 3, 2010 Author Posted February 3, 2010 Thanks a lot for your comments I do not use wings because I want to made a kind of speeder. Moreover, I'll try to build in SNOT. the window is not big enough and now colors have been all changed... I've tryed over things but It won't be the final version. The back is horrible  I agree with some french comments about the roof of the cockpit . It doesn't look very nice. I think i'll take it off The window is too small too and the whole cockpit seems to have been smashed . :) Quote
lego-maniac Posted February 3, 2010 Author Posted February 3, 2010 So, here is new pics .... Better ? Quote
lego-maniac Posted February 4, 2010 Author Posted February 4, 2010 Upon reflection, I think the direction of the speeder will be reversed. front becomes the back and vice versa. The profile of the speeder will be certainly more aerodynamic in this way. Still some modification and the final version will be presented soon Thanks for your comments, they really help me in this MOC ! :) Quote
lego-maniac Posted February 4, 2010 Author Posted February 4, 2010 So here is new (I know I know.... :) ) pictures ! Better ? Waiting for your comments ... Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 The first one I didn't like at all, but as you moved along it kept getting better and now it's at the point of AWESOMEness ! I love this design, the front cell, the cockpit (the best part overall) and the engines - COOL ! Great work 'Lego-maniac' and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
prateek Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 The newest version is way better than any others. Nice idea of switching the directions That interior is just so cool. Quote
lego-maniac Posted February 5, 2010 Author Posted February 5, 2010 what do you think about this talest version ? My son must have hidden the alien, so, no Aliens in cells sorry. I think I'll have to change all white under the ship in black but I'm about to finish this Moc I think... The window is still not the good one I think but I have no idea to replace.... don't you ? Quote
prateek Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Woah! What happened to the bottom! I like it! I think the addition of a second pod really balanced things out. I agree about the windscreen, but unfortunately, I don't have any ideas as of yet. Quote
Tereglith Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Wow, this MOC went from being really 'meh' to being really awesome! I love the greebles on the bottom! As for a windshield, I dunnno. You've obviously picked up some SPIII sets since you made the first version -which ones do you have now? Quote

LegoDad42 Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 From first to last pics what an evolution. Really nice ship. Love the interior details as well as underneath. Wish those nice details underneath could be seen more or encorporate onto the sides of the vehicle...but overall, a cool looking, nicely detailed speeder. I need one...;)!!! Quote
