I have been modifying by Imperial Flagship. This is a work in progress, here are a few pics.

The only thing I hated about this ship was the rails. So I have replaced them with the Telescope

I also replaced the grey arms with pearl gold arms as well as using a 2x2 Dark Blue tile to replace the regular blue flag

Here I tried using brown windows instead of white

Here I tried gold windows and gold fence instead of white

Not sure if I like the window changes or not. I am happy with the railings though.

Feedback and suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks, The railings that Lego put in seem so out of place.

How much did it cost to get all of those telescopes? Either way, it looks extraordinary as a railing. I think you should leave the windows white as they are though...

I personally like similarities in design, so if you're going to make the rope holders gold, make them all gold, and if they're going to be pearl gray, make them all pearl gray. The blue flags/flaps I have no opinion on, as the dark blue looks much better, while the original pieces are thinner and look better in shape.

Keep updating!

I am leaning towards the white windows. I only have the 2 gold arms and I am going to order more to replace the rest of them.

I am not sure how much the telescopes cost. Since they came out last year I have been buying some here and there with bricklink orders. I only had enough for one side of the ship so I will be going to bricklink to buy enough for the other side.

Thanks for the feed back!

I am totally going to do what you did with the gold windows. That is so perfect. The white just clashed but the gold looks awsome. I am also going to do something similer with the gun ports on my ship as well. I also like what you did with the railing. If I may ask how much did it cost you to make those modifications. I am going to do something similer and I would like to know how much that costs. :pir-classic:

I am going to guess and say about $50 US. You can buy the dark brown telescope for about $.40 (you need about 100). the windows are less than a dollar each and I am still trying to find more gold arms.

The railing looks nice but it seems to high, that is what I struggle with in a railing. Make it look nice but not be too high. I also do not like all the arches the IF comes with for the rails. I like the white windows better than your other tries, but did you try white winds with gold fences up top on the rear of the ship. That might look good with all the other gold accents. Nice stuff, gives me food for thought on my ship.

Nice changes. The railing is a vast improvement :pir-cry_happy:

same here. like the changes

I'd like to see a better headpiece on the ship as well. the swordfish seems too.. dull

Put on the mermaid from the BBB instead.

I would also like to suggest that you should integrate the captains cabin into the hull of the ship by removing the galley and lowering it into the hull. That way the upper decks wouldn't look so choppy. You could do this by moving the galley to the brig and lowering the captains cabin into the gun deck.

After that you could eliminate one window on the side and put an extra gun port there.

You could alse squeeze in a third window on the back window gallery and then you would have a frigate. I tried it and it works quite well. :pir-classic:

Looks very nice with your different colour changings.

Can be really easy to make a whole set apear so different with just other colours.

Looking forward to see what else you will come up with.

On the note of color changes, those "hitch" pices that connect to the robot arms, that connect the rigging (is that specific enough, or do I need a pic?) Should have a different color besides gray.

The white windows Do in fact look better. As well, I think the captains cabin is already at a sufficient height and doesn't need any changes.
