Tom Bricks Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Some time in the near future humans have moved to space. We don't know what to expect but we will be prepared for anything. I got the inspiration for this watching Avatar but because I don't customize I didn't want to make it just like the movie because I couldn't make everything else. It's very pose-able especially the arms but it's also pretty fragile. More picks on flickr. Comments and criticism welcome. Quote
Legostein Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 Hello! It a great designs with many small details and functional legs and arms. I especially like the use of the vehicle mudguards for the feet. Very original use of parts. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
Big Cam Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 I have yet to see this movie but the mech looks great! I like the fingers on the one hand and then how he is like hitting the big stick thing to his hand like a human would a baseball bat. Great job! Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Great MOC of a MECH 'Tom Bricks' The use of light bluey grey is awise choice, it gives it that army/navy/air force look about it. Yeah and those weapons - they gotta hurt big time if you are on the receiving end ! Great work and I'm a conformist! 'Tom Bricks' ! Quote
larry marak Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Wonderful work. For doing the helicopters, try using the znap 68 millimeter wheels in black. Perfect for mocing, as they have propellers instead of struts inside the round curved wheels. Quote
Tom Bricks Posted January 26, 2010 Author Posted January 26, 2010 Thanks everyone I have yet to see this movie but the mech looks great!I like the fingers on the one hand and then how he is like hitting the big stick thing to his hand like a human would a baseball bat. I would defiantly recommend the movie, the entire thing is amazing. You will find yourself wondering where they filmed it because the computer graphics are so real. That is basically the same pose that all the mechs in the movie have so I thought it looked nice on this one too. Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Beautiful - 99.9% accurate! The only thing you are missing is the giant knife + its sheath, but it still looks great. Nicely done. Quote
Mark Kelso Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Very cool. So, could I borrow this? I've always wanted to just walk around a local mall in one of these...wave to the girls, eat a hot pretzel, and maybe stomp on those segways that mall security rides around on. Quote
