Shtick Posted January 25, 2010 Author Posted January 25, 2010 These are by far the best looking plastic mythbusters yet Were any of the heads custom made? They look quite good! Thanks. All the heads are true LEGO, but Adam and Jamie had a little... "trimming" done. The only custom piece is the Mythbusters plaque. Quote
Rayman Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Aha, I thought so. Very sharp 'trim' job of the official faces. Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Haha they are great Funny to see if you have also seen the real episodes of your scenes. Nice job Quote
Ralph_S Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Custom minifigs generally aren't really my thing, but I like Mythbusters a lot and these look instantly recognisable. It's great how you've managed to capture their likeness using (mainly) official parts. Very nice Ralph Quote
Legorski Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 I love Mythbusters! sucks I've had no time to watch them though! I hate school! DX Quote
prateek Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Awesoem job. I can't believe how accurate yet simple these are. I like the sword machine too Quote

Shtick Posted August 21, 2010 Author Posted August 21, 2010 Quick update. I was at San Diego Comic Con last month, and got to present my creations to the Mythbusters themselves! Here's a shot of me with the Build Team. Kari is holding the figures, while Grant has the Sword Swinging Robot in his clutches. It was a great honor to meet them! Quote
TheWarden Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 I wasn't around for this in Jan so.... Awesome! Best Mythbusters figs around and you are lucky to meet the crew. Nice work! Quote
Shtick Posted July 29, 2011 Author Posted July 29, 2011 (edited) Comic Con time again! This year, I got to meet Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman! They loved my figures! Edited July 29, 2011 by Shtick Quote
kibosh Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 VERY well done indeed! So simple, yet such perfect representations. Quote
Shtick Posted July 29, 2011 Author Posted July 29, 2011 Here is a close up shot of Adam and Jamie holding my set, as well as a detail shot of the set itself. Quote
Waffles Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 great moc i think the mime beret would be better on jamie Quote
Shtick Posted July 31, 2011 Author Posted July 31, 2011 great moc i think the mime beret would be better on jamie I tried the mime beret. It looks way too big. The knit cap was the most form fitting, and looks best to me overall. Quote

Shtick Posted August 2, 2011 Author Posted August 2, 2011 Nice Job Really like it but i would have used flesh coluor for there face Flesh faces don't have the same availability as the yellow ones. Besides, Buster is flesh colored. Had to make him look slightly different than the people. :-) Quote
