zero1312 Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 (edited) Since the default ground of the base was too fragile I built a lava river ground: and the extra, since the default one was a bit unimpressive looking: Edited January 18, 2010 by zero1312 Quote
Sisco Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 I'm sure this would be a great MOC, if I could just see it. All of the images are red Xs, please fix! Quote

dabulls03 Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Yeah I can't see them either, but it sounds really interesting... In fact I was thinking about doing something like this myself to show off all of my Power Miners sets. Quote

Dunjohn Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I don't even see the red x's, just a big space. What are you using to upload these? Quote
Ryan_T Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Hey! Me want pics! Use Flickr next time. Quote
zero1312 Posted January 18, 2010 Author Posted January 18, 2010 Pics working now. Damn that Postimage...... I should've stayed with Brickshelf... Quote
Legostein Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I should've stayed with Brickshelf... Well, I sometimes also am annoyed by BrickShelf, when having a downtime again or is slowly being moderated. But we have to keep in mind that it's a free service, and has no limits in capacity for its users. So, definitely yes, you should have stayed there. Okay, enough off-topic now. Back to topic. The use of some transparent elements like the corner plates is already nice, but I would have expected more trans-orange pieces and flames to get the characteristic lava glow feeling. Of course I know trans-orange plates and bricks are not among the cheapest, but they would contribute a lot to your nice base. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
prateek Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Great addition! I like the cheese slopes and crystals on the monster Quote

Dunjohn Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 I just got this set in town today, and yeah, that "lava" is a tad disappointing (as is the set size. I really must stop thinking sets are going to be bigger than they turn out to be, I keep getting disappointed). I might try to fix this up as well. Just one thing, though.... have you any idea what the "exploding wall" under the can dispenser is for? 'Cuz I'm stumped. Quote
