Tom Bricks Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Has anyone tried making head lights that light up on a minifig scale car before. I guess that LEDs would work but I was looking for a purist solution. Quote
Legorski Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Has anyone tried making head lights that light up on a minifig scale car before. I guess that LEDs would work but I was looking for a purist solution. I guess it would be possible, using the exoforce flexi-clear tube thingies to bring the light. The light generator thingie could be put in the trunkish area, but it would require some magical build to pul it off, I just might try it. 8D Quote
samurai-turtle Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Or you could try a light up brick (like the one that came in 8970 Robo Attack). Quote
Legostein Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Hello! It's a german site unfortunately, but you can click through the pics to get some inspiration. Karsten Hildebrand is quite talented in modifying bricks with lights. His homepage is http://bricks.steinbohrer.net. On the left side you will an email link at the bottom if you want to ask for more information. I am sure he understands english. Some of his stuff is also on MOCpages which is in english. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
Freddie Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 The closest possible purist solution would be using the headlight-bricks used in the trains and an old 9V battery-box. Even if a bit bulky, it works just fine, and LEGO themselves have had batteries in four-wide minifig-vehicles before (for sirens and flashing lights). Quote
Tom Bricks Posted January 17, 2010 Author Posted January 17, 2010 Thanks for the help everyone. I think I'll try using the light up bricks first and save other lights as a last resort. THe 9v batterie box would work but I think it would be to big for a car, it might work for a truck though where you could put it in the storage area. Quote
