Today I destroyed my orange Rat Rod and Four Wheel Drive to add another pickup to my collection. It ended up as a wellside pickup. Same chassis and size as the other pickups :classic:

Tow Truck alternative

Hello!

The tow truck version is my favourite. The colour is perfect for such a vehicle, and the cargo area is optimal for the crane. :classic: For use as normal pick-up truck it's not really suitable I think. The cargo compartment is much too small. You can't pick up much. :wink:

Wow, once again, these are two great trucks! I like them both but I have a preference for the tow truck. I really like the "square" front bumper. You really have a thing for pick up trucks! Thats a good thing. :thumbup:

I agree with you all that the tow truck is the best. I have completed a small rebuild on it. Internal strengthening to stop flex. New roof lights. White side stripe to make the white headlight bricks merge in better :classic:

Nice Truck,

I really like the way you have built a gap between the end wheel and the main body, that must take some effot............

Hello again,

the white stripes are a good modification, however I liked the former roof lights better. Many modern cars of this sort have one single centered light-bar on the roof. Hence I preferred the first alternative of them. But I guess both versions exist in plenty numbers in reality. :classic:

Those are really nice trucks. Each are really nicely built, all with their own unique look. The tow truck is nice. I like the white stripe. If it were moved down a little, you might be able to extend it the length of the truck and really pull in the back of the truck with the front.

Great build. Can't wait to see more.

Updated light bar. Changed front direction indicators to match rear ones so I could use cheese slopes on light bar :classic:

Nice job. I think the hood area is perhaps a bit long, but overall it looks good.

And for what it's worth, over here in the States we call that kind of pickup bed a "stepside". :classic:

It must be the New Zealand air or something, but you do AWESOME MOCs indeed. :laugh:

The new light bar and white pin striping are excellent ! :grin:

Totally I'm a conformist! 'AllanSmith' ! :sweet::grin::laugh:

To lightningtiger: I must have breathed in some Aussie air cause I've just finished a Mad Max Interceptor. Photos to come :laugh:
