spartan Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Ahoy! I'm new here, and i would like to present my ship - HMS Duke of York: (Sorry for pictures quality, I'm learing how to photograph lego) Parts: Mostly Lego(85%), but i used Best-Lock (one hull part and masts) (10%) and Cobi (5%). I used them because I haven't got many parts, and I ran out of them on this MOC. This frigate has 16 cannons. (there are only 2 cannons in the hull, because I haven't got parts to make more.) As you can see, the ship has no sails and rigging yet. More pics on Brickshlef: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=416736 Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 (edited) It's a shame that you don't have more bricks, it would make this ship even better. But it's a nice one already. The stern is very great with all the details. It's also nice that it has an interior. But did I see there a HEAD being used for a small fence? That's a bit creapy For the rest you really did a good job on this MOC And ofcourse: Welcome to the forum! Edited January 15, 2010 by Admiral Croissant Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 (edited) Welcome to Classic-Pirates. While I cannot condone the use of imitation parts in this lovely ship I can honestly say it looks like you did a really nice job on what sounds like a limited parts budget...so great job. She really is very nice. Edited January 15, 2010 by Commodore Hornbricker Quote
Zorro Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Yep, for your limited parts collection this looks really good. I like the hull colors. Quote
