Here is my first completed attempt at making a ship. I've always loved the Renegade Runner and so wanted to make a small ship like it. I am not completely satisfied with the deck and rear components. I used only the pieces I had available on hand and resisted a bricklink shopping spree. Ship features a single cannon and two swivel guns, cargo, captains quarters/supply locker. Please comment and critique:

Looks very good indeed!

I love the chosen colours and the swivel gun, as well as the entire front of the ship. The cabin is very detailed too.

One question though:

Can you please resize the pics? They are larger then allowed by the Site Guidelines.

Your first attempt to build a ship? That looks so much better then my first one! :pir_laugh2:

It's details are amazing, only on 2 hull sections! That is impressive.

Perhaps adding sails would add even more realism to it. :pir-classic:

It's such a small ship, but it has everything a ship needs (except sails ofcourse :pir-classic: ) cabin, cannon, lanterns, figurehead...well, you see what I mean :pir-sweet:

For a first ship, this is certainly not bad, and I like the long bowsprit!

I love it! I'd call it the Blackish-green pearl! :pir_laugh2:

As others have said, You really packed a lot of detail in such a small ship! Good job! Blackmoor! Get this lad some Rum! an' aye! It better be rum. :pir_mad: None of yarr silly little tricks! Ye had me barfin' after that junk ye gave me! :pir-sick:

Nice MOC! Like other have said, what a brilliant amount of detail on such a small hull! I can't say the rigging does much for me, would be better with string I think. I do like your badass swivel cannons though, I wouldn't even want my 28-gun frigate getting in the way of those things! :pir_laugh2:

Great job for a first ship MOC, keep it up.

Well blow me down, what a great pirate ship indeed ! :pir-classic:

'UsernameMDM' great design, love lots of detail in any MOC. :pir_laugh2:

The cabin storing maps and muskets looks fantastic. :pir-classic:

Only one cannon, well make every shot count ! :jollyroger:

Keep up the great work 'UsernameMDM' ! :pir_laugh2:

Interesting color, the ship (to me) is a bit small, but I love all your detail and the trans yellow fig heads are cool, I'm not sure if I have seen them before. It must be pretty fast with only one cannon.

Great work.

If lego released more smaller vessels like that i'd buy them in a heart beat, the Renegade Runner and Cross Bone Clipper can eat their own hearts out! :jollyroger:

fantastic colours and design with loads of lovely details - Very impressive

You did an absolutly terrific job in my opinion. I like the color scheme and the shape of the hull. I was really interested how you were able to fit a captains cabin in the stern without adding in midsections. Again, thats a great pirate ship you built there. :pir-classic:

I dont know how I missed this, but this is very very cool! I enjoy the small detail you used throughout the ship without it looking gaudy. I am very impressed! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comments everyone. I've decided to make a few changes, namely switch the front swivel gun to a smaller triple barrel swivel gun and change the deck swivel gun into a same size deck cannon to add a bit more fire power. Also changing up the deck and perhaps adding walking space on the side of the ships. I will hopefully post updated pics soon. :pir-skull:

This ship is amazing, I love all the small details you put in, the captains cabin is beautiful, and I truly love the skeleton figure head! I think I'm going to try my hand at a small ship next perhaps, but maybe my schooner comes first^^"

Small ships really deserve to get more attention - after all, the seas were not only full of frigates and galleons back in those days :) I really enjoy seeing Sloops, Junks and the likes - and this is probably one of the best little ships I have seen.
