Hi everyone,

i'm a rookie, just to warn you. And i always wanted to reproduce this motorcycle in lego. Either tiny style or bigger (not huge... don't have the money for that). But the problem is that i really don't have a clue about how to do and what pieces to use... Bref my imagination is kind of rusty... :sceptic:

Here are two good examples of minifig scale bikes by TheOtters and this by Carbohydrates. You could tweak with the parts and proportions to get what you want.

Well, a motorcycle isn't very big so if you miss some parts it might be a good idea to get them from Bricklink. Try first to build around with your small parts and see if you can construct the different parts of the bike. When you know what parts you need you can order them or look for sets than contains those parts.

The form/structure of a naked bike allows for a relatively easier representation in "bricks" and offers tons of potential in terms of ingenious part usage, as shown in Carbohydrates' bike linked above. Minifig scale is your best solution if you don't really have too much bricks, but it's also probably the toughest in terms of matching the looks of the original. You could have a look at Noddy's awesome bikes for some inspiration.

As a direct response to your question - I don't think anyone could really tell you "what" pieces to use. My advice would be for you to study a few MOCs, then have a close look at the original model and start trying things out with the pieces you have at your disposal. Eventually, one part of the bike will look just about right, then another one, until you finally have it all glued together. Best of luck mate!

Thank you all for the answers. So i bought some Grey robot arms, because on all the different motorcycles i've seen, everybody seems to used these. So i think it will be helpfull.

An other question, where can i find some pieces navy blue ? I tried ebay but nothing really. I wanted to see the different options of pieces i can find. To make it look like the motorcycle.

Thx again guys !! Now i'm waiting for the arms and trying to find right pieces...

In the topic from Carbohydrates, he said that he bought the bike he made on MCLAD from Bricklink for less than $4. I suppose you could just make it on MCLAD and do what he did.

Huu, sorry but i'm don't really understand :sceptic: MCLAD ? Carbohydrates Topic, where it is ?

Sorry about my lack of knowledge

Okay, sorry for the misunderstanding. In the first post i put in this topic, there is a link to a topic from a user named Carbohydrates. On the first page of the topic, he posted rendered pictures of his motorcycle from MCLAD. MCLAD is a computer program that lets you build virtual Lego models. You can download this program and search on the forum for good beginner's guides

Well i tried to downloaded the softwear, apparently there's more to install than jsut that. Like LDraw, and when i try it tells me than my system doesn't support full screen so it closes the application... Is there any other soft that i could use ? Or am i condamned to bother you all the time :classic: ??

Thx again

The program might be easier to find without a serious typo in the name, it is MLCAD.

edit: never mind, looks like you found it. Check the ldraw.org website for installation instructions.

For what it's worth, the main model of Creator set 6747 looks a good deal like the bike that you pictured. It's not perfect, of course, but it would make a decent starting point for a larger-scale model.

If you're in the US and have a Target nearby, you might want to check there, since I picked up my copy of the set last week from their post-holiday clearance.

Try bricklink.com. Its a marketplace for everything from sets to individual pieces.
