Thanks Lightningtiger. I will try to make it bigger eventually, maybe adding a 4th floor in the tower and a couple of cars (other than white) in lot in front of the dealership. Thanks again for ths kind comments.

I think I know the dealership you based this on, and it's a great small scale interpretation.

Cool MOC. :classic: I look forward to the clear pics and different colour cars.

Really love your colored mini dr.spock, and this dealership is great sens1992. I created some different mod's of the mini and posted them on my MOCpages. Let me know what you think and by all means use my ideas for your MOC, it would be fun to see a whole fleet of mini's like the Scion commercials.

I really like your Mini Car show photos! I looked at bricklink for parts in trying to get a few different colored cars and it seems like it will be a challenge... I wanna color the front of the car only so pretty much change what's white to color and it seems pretty hard to get all the parts I need including the car base from one or two sellers.... I will keep on looking... :classic: As far as the dealership goes, I ordered another one thru LDD My Own Design. The model is a little bit different than the one you see in the photos... I changed the dark red stripe for black and added a couple parking spots for customers just to the right of the dealership. I will post a LDD shot of the new dealership. Too bad LDD did not have the dark red I used but I have to say that I love the second dealership I created... :classic:

It is funny you should mention a real dealership that mine looks like. I actually created this from scratch, not looking at any specific dealership... I was aware of the "case" or "box" design but I did not try to duplicate one that existed. As far as smart car dealers, Ottawa (where I live) as none per say. They are sold by MB dealerships and don't have anything special for the Smart Car line as far as architecture... Too bad. I also built a fourth floor and the whole thing does not look so great. The tower is out of proportion from the rest of the building. I will keep it a 3 floors. Thanks again for all great comments...

Here is the modified LDD version of my dealership...

Very cool! The Smart dealerships that I have seen so far do... or at least did look like that. I haven't seen the tower design for while now. It is a shame as I thought it was a neat idea. I am also looking forward to seeing some different colored cars in your creation.

Keep it up! This is a seriously great MOC!

You have done a great job with your MOC! :classic:

I always thought a Car dealer would make a good set.

Some nice features that you have done are the cars on display with the clear panel glass walls

However I am not a fan of those so called smart/small cars

I think however they grow on you......nah I still don't like them

For those interested, my Smart Car Dealership has been slighty modified with a couple of parking spaces on the side of the buildin, fire hydrand, new interior, etc...

I finally received it from LEGO as I built it with LDD and I they printed some instructions for my model which was really cool. Anyways, the new photos can be viewd here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/45260367@N08/...57623481518558/

Thanks for viewing.

It look fantastic before and even better now with the additions you have made 'sens1992' - cool dealership !

Though some different colours in the vehicle selection might be in order !

Great work and I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:

Thanks Lightningtiger for the kind words... I actually ordered some yellow and red parts for some different cars. I have yet to take the photos of these new models. As soon as I will build them all, I will update my dealership link.

Hi there, I've been lurking around here for a couple of years and thought it was about time to register - and what better place to write my first words than here. I love your car dealership, so much in fact that I built it myself in MLCad and ordered the bricks to build it off Bricklink - the first version, that is, although I must say that I like the way it's changed now, with the car park and everything. It's a great and very clean design.

I built an (almost) full colour palette of cars to fill it with, then added a Crossblade of my own design, and I just love how it looks. Now I just need to build a town around it :classic:

I've taken a few snapshots of it, but as it is a shameless rip-off of your design I'm a bit cautious when it comes to posting them - although I would naturally give you all credit for it.

Anyway - I just wanted to say that I'm really impressed with the design, and I hope you don't mind that I've copied it. It's just a compliment to your building style. Since coming out of my dark ages a couple of years ago I've mainly built official sets and used a couple of building instructions of other people's MOCs, but now I finally feel ready to do some MOCing of my own - and your car dealership is what inspired me.

Just need to save a few bucks for a massive BrickLink order, and I'll start building the pharmacy I've already designed in MLCad!

Regards

Thanks L@go for your kind words. I am glad that my dealership inspired you to build one. Feel free to port some photos of your modified dealership as it will be interesting to see what you came up with! I actually can't wait to see yours!

All you need now is to put together a sleazy car salesman minifig and you're in business  Unless it's not that kind of dealership!

Honestly though, smart and clean design. I'm sure it looks great smack dab in a full display.
