Axel Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 An incredibly fast and maneuverable starfighter, the Sparrowhawk is equipped with twin rotary guns and three small boosters. It fits a figure, but... ...the figure doesn't actually sit on a stud. Nevertheless, it's a snug fit and the figure won't move much even if you swoosh the starfighter around. Thanks for looking! Legostein Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 (edited) Hello! A nice compact concept! The cockpit folds up really originally. But in what way are the guns able to rotate? Do you mean they can rotate to enhance the fire arc (which is not shown) or do you mean they hypothetically rotate around their shaft only? I furthermore would enlarge the "three small boosters" to justify for its "incredible fast" speed. Cheers, ~ Christopher Edited January 8, 2010 by Legostein Quote
Axel Posted January 8, 2010 Author Posted January 8, 2010 Yep, the guns hypothetically rotate around the shaft. I thought that the technic gear would create that 'rotary' feeling. About the boosters; I figured that the bulky side boosters generated most of the energy, the tiny booster opening would provide a concentrated burst of the energy, and that would give it the incredible speed. lightningtiger Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Very nice MOC space figther 'Axel' ! I was going to guess those gears on the guns were heatsink fins to help keep the weapon cool when in operation. Besides what kind of ammo does it fire - projectile, laser or plasma ? Also I love the cockpit too, very clever indeed ! Great job 'Axel' ! Quote
Big Cam Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 I think it's a brilliant little ship, I hope its fast though, I can assume it's too small to hold a shiled generator. It would make a great impulse ship set, for like $7. The cockpit is a really cool design, I can imagine being in the seat and the cockpit slowing closing in and the lid closing at the same time. if it were mine though, I'd add some color to it. Quote
jmadd58 Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 I love it, it's brilliant. Especially good job for making it on a small scale. Quote
