Dennimator Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I´ve been interested in 2 of the 8092 Luke's Landspeeder for a while, but when I walked to the store, I saw that the price was almost 2x what I would have to pay if I bought the sets for the MSRP ($24.99?) from someone in the US. Therefore I´m asking you (if you live in the US, that is) to buy 2 of the sets and send them to me in Sweden (without the boxes). I prefer paying with PayPal (mainly because it´s the only way I´m familiar with. ) Please help me out. Thank you.
jamtf Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 How come that this set is so expensive in Sweden? I live in The Netherlands and the set is available through Lego S@H for EUR 26,99 which is slightly more than in the US. In Sweden the price is SEK 349.50 which is near EUR 35,00 according to www.xe.com . That is a huge difference if you ask me .
Dennimator Posted January 7, 2010 Author Posted January 7, 2010 Yeah, most sets are really expensive in Sweden, especially the SW ones. Just check the other SW sets´ prices on lego.com... Often it´s cheaper to buy a set from BL including SaH than buying it from a retail store here...
JCC1004 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I might be able to help you but I still haven't found one for my self yet. Also I have a smooth Leia hair piece. Are you interested?
Dennimator Posted January 7, 2010 Author Posted January 7, 2010 (edited) I might be able to help you but I still haven't found one for my self yet. Also I have a smooth Leia hair piece. Are you interested? Oh yes sir! If you could buy me 2 of them when you find them, it would be great. Also, what do you want for that hairpiece? Oh, and did you make up your mind about that Lando (Skiff) trade? Edited January 7, 2010 by Dennimator
Etzel Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 It's really sad that this set is so expensive in Sweden because this is actually one of very few SW sets that I thought of buying. But for this price I rather not... How come that this set is so expensive in Sweden? I live in The Netherlands and the set is available through Lego S@H for EUR 26,99 which is slightly more than in the US. In Sweden the price is SEK 349.50 which is near EUR 35,00 according to www.xe.com . That is a huge difference if you ask me . It's not the worst example, take a look at this: 8091 Republic Swamp Speeder costs 499 SEK which equals €49 or 70 USD.... for 176 pieces. Licensed themes usually gets a mark-up here but this is just crazy. Sorry for hijacking your thread and use it for price ranting, Dennimator. Good luck with your search and if you want to trade away one of your Luke or Ben minifigs when you get them I might be interested.
Minxter Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Hi. I know the prices here in sweden are so expensive. Hate it!!!!!
