Ages ago I recorded on National Geographic a short clip about the lego factory, just got the technology to get it onto you tube for all to enjoy.

The fully automated warehouse is very impressive

Enjoy

Thanks for that video. I really liked the minifigs part. Does anybody know what heads those were?

Not sure about the smiling one, but the bad guy was the dual-headed Quirrell / Voldemort head from 4702. Though now that I've looked at that head it seems possible, in fact likely, that what we saw in the video was the two sides of that head.

Yep, they showed both sides of the heads. And later in the video, there was a Harry Potter fig assembled, as the voice-over said.

Judging from the figs, the video must be from 2001.

Wow, that was a great video. Thank you for sharing that!

EDIT: Sandy beat me to it with an explanation of the heads

This was great! A lot better then the science chanel's "How it's Made!" special on building bricks. Their's was about Mega blocks but they called it Legos. :hmpf:.

It was really interesting seeing how the famous bricks are made. Thank you for finding this video :sweet: .

Adding on, I thought I'd post these two videos I found, the first from 1989 (found on Gizmodo), and one recent (found just on youtube). Man, just from the video it looks like quality was so much better and more important back then. And look at all the people they employed! How I wish it was still like that.
