user Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 (edited) In quadrant 7 is a universal trash dump putting it simply and after about 3 months of dumping garbage in every day the trash formed into what is now known in the 2nd Dynasty of emperor Gargasor as the Scrapix belt. soon afterward some of those asteroids turned to meteors and crushed entire planets only adding to the debris. Soon afterward a large team of space pirates (allied with the Blackhole gang and Blacktron) acknowledged all of the metal that was just being tossed into the scrapix belt that could be used for making vehicles so they built this. Armed with a blackhole generator a tough crew of pirates front shovel to clear unwanted debris crane to carry satellites that have wandered to far and a huge cargo hold with magnetic floor to keep the metals from drifting off into space this vehicle is perfect for the job. The pics aren't the best, but I know that it's hard to photograph mostly black objects, and from what I can see, it's quite a sturdy little craft. I like the little details like the spikes on the crane. Interesting backstory too. As for names... How about John, Bob, and Steve? Quote

The design is functional though, its got a nice arm for staeling trash and looks to be very powerful judging by those engines. Fun MOC, I bet it has some good play value. Quote

user Posted January 6, 2010 Author Posted January 6, 2010 (edited) Thanks for the comments guys! I'm glad you guys like it but Oky I'm sorry but I don't really like those names. Originally it was completely different and was one of the vehicles made out of scrap metal but I liked this better. And the play features are it has a trap door in the cargo hold to unload trash and the crane can spin and pose. My second topc ever on EB was about space pirates and all I made after that was a few custom minifigs so I thought I'd come back the idea and will probably make more vehicles for these guys soon I just need serious names for the name of the gang/crew. The big side engines look like the same good idea of the space truck getaway, and it looks like a real life vehicle tricked out for some bad guys The back of the ship looks nice, with the bit of green sticking out, and the glowing back engine sure does look menacing. What kind of names? Nickname like ones like the clone troopers had or real names? Maybe Graan Taschh for one. And "The Junkman" for the captain? Or a creative name for the crew: The Trashmen.
