Toy markers must start somewhere like Lego did with Rock Raiders.

Very good Review 'Mors' (sorry about no dots above the o) ! :sweet:

To answer a question of yours - yes the new monsters both arms move with one being a throwing arm, this brown one looks more like a cool mud monster for a horror flick. :devil:

The vehicle does look more like a kids MOC than a real set - but a real set it was.

Thanks 'Mors' for the review. :sweet:

Hope you and everyone had a great Christmas !!!

I've always wanted some Rock Raiders, and not just because I love Power Miners. I love the colour scheme, brown, grez and turquise. Not quite seventies, not quite eighties, but some in-between decade that hasn't been discovered yet. This theme completely passed me by, I only discovered its existence since joining these boards, so thanks for the look!

Not sure about that Rock Monkey (my official name for these from now on - thanks!), I vastly prefer the crystal guys from PM because you can actually make out some details. But they'd still be cool to have, as would be that cockpit piece.

I actually took that name from a comment on Brickset, and I found that hilarious (and fitting), so....

The rock monkey can be useful for some fantasy castle/RPG/HoMM kind of stuff as a rock monster/golem/earth elemental or something of that sort.

Have you noticed how LEGO has been remaking a lot of the old series recently?

Alpha Team (2001) -> Agents (2008)

Rock Raiders (1999) -> Power Miners (2009)

Adventurers (1998) -> Indiana Jones (2008) [Well it IS pretty closely related.]

Pirates (1989) -> Pirates (2009)

Divers (1997) -> Aquaraiders (2007)

Wait... aren't you Polish, too, Dunjohn?

Nie, jestem Irlandczykiem, ale uczę sie Polskiego. I thought you were German (because of your name) until you mentioned złoty....

Pretty nice review for an, at lest for me and some others an obscure set. I liked rockraiders but only got one set , the base, and liked what I got. The monster is pretty awesome which I have started using a lot more with my power miners. The one thing I liked about Rock Raiders more than I like about PM is the fact that they're mining on an alien planet/asteroid. Besides that though I ultimately like PM better for several reasons.
