As i'm sure many of you are aware LEGO is releasing a new water based theme called Atlantis.

I was browsing Bricklink recently and came across a marvelous head.

Some of you may know of it but i thought i'd share anyway.

Yes, I'm looking forward to getting one of those.

It's interesting, because it has a very similar print to the governor from the Soldiers' Fort, just with an added eyepatch.

It's a pretty awesome head! I just saw the $10 sethe's in at my local target so I might use it in a pirate MOC. The facial hair could also imply a british admiral or captain.

This head has already been mentioned several times in the Non-pirate pirate thread...

When I first saw it ages ago I thought it was almost certainly a sign that they intended to continue the pirates line... but then I found out it was double sided and it won't work with any of the pirate hats. It's a shame.

Still, if you're photographing an MOC from a particular angle you could make it work, or if you used PhotoShop to blank one side of the head.

A lot of the other Atlantis figs seem to be good for pirate MOCing - dare I mention it, fantasy creatures! :pir_laugh2:

Davy Jone's crew could get quite a bolstering with all the new molds.

Isn't it double printed though? So you may be limited in his potential head wear, still a good head none the less.

yes but how often to you take pictures from behind, or play from behind, if you're only playing you can surely ignore it.

Yeah now I'd better get 10 sets and sell 8 heads for 5$ on BL. :pir_laugh2:

Wow, those Bricklink guys sure know how to make money... :pir-skull: :pir_laugh2:

The price will be driven down when there are more than two for sale. These are just trying to catch people who need it NOW and don't understand the basic rules of commerce.
