Tom Bricks Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 The average space ship used to transport everyday goods across the universe. This is one of the few things I have made where I drew it before I built. I would like to add more ships and maybe some kind of civilian base in the near future. Comments and Criticism Welcome Quote
Hound Knight Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Very cool, I love the nacelles! The 'box' thing looks great as well. Keep up the good work. Quote
Sir Gecko Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 Consider me inspired sir. Great work on the stripes especially. Quote
Scorpion Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 Space Truckin' Remember when we did the moonshot and Pony Trekker led the way Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, the freaks said, "Man those bricks can really sway..." :p Brick away! Scorpion Quote
Aeroace Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 thats cool i always like regular people in space themes not like explorers or miners just people Quote
Legostein Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Hello! That's a nice futuristic transport vessel of a not so distant future. I like the printed parts for the container and also the inventive light blue stripes pattern. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
Loganwan Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 This definitely looks like a grunt. A worker and nothing more. I am guessing, in your universe, the ships can either fly at amazing speeds, or the trucking company does not care about their employees. There is no sleeping area, or stasis area. Even Han Solo had a bed. :) Maybe a sleeper cab to show the distance that the ship could fly. This looks more like a flying transport for in-atmosphere flight. The box design is really nice. I like the sweep of the light blue. Keeps the box from being too plain. Thanks for sharing. Quote
Tom Bricks Posted December 27, 2009 Author Posted December 27, 2009 Thanks everyone the stripes where a last minute thing and they worked out well This definitely looks like a grunt. This looks more like a flying transport for in-atmosphere flight. I guess I never though of adding more space for the driver or a sleeping cab. I was picturing a universe with close planets and floating space stations so I guess it wouldn't need to go to far. Realistically it would probably need a sleeper cabin and maybe some more power but I think it looks better smaller. Quote
Trexxen Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 It could easily be a short-distance ship, one designed for fast deliveries within a system without a bulky freighter. =P Like a mail car as opposed to a jumbo jet. I'm loving this MOC, especially the stripes on the box - it may have been a last minute thing, but it just adds to the futuristic appeal. ^.^ My only problem with this model is that it's not purple...deep purple. XD The only thing I can see changing is the side engines - the City wheel things (I forget their exact name, but it's 1 AM here, I can be forgiven I hope =P) look a little out of place without something to close them off. Perhaps expanding on that area to completely surround the engine would make it look better, but I can't really think of a way to do that myself...=P ~Trexxen Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Nice MOC, 'Tom Bricks' ! Is this a VTOL type craft and does the red craft dettach from the blue cargo section like a trailier does ? Great work anyway ! Quote
Tom Bricks Posted December 27, 2009 Author Posted December 27, 2009 Nice MOC, 'Tom Bricks' ! Is this a VTOL type craft and does the red craft dettach from the blue cargo section like a trailier does ? Great work anyway ! The trailer is attached to the cab with droid arms arms a chain so it detaches easily. I hadn't thought much about the takeoff but as it has no wheels it would have to be a VTOL ship. Quote
Milan Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Great combo of nice "tractor" and box! I like the strips on the box! Quote
