prateek Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 The promos are neat. I'd get them just for the post-apocish minifigs.Only Race 7 is still a mystery now. I'm guessing Brickmaster set. Quote
Still Raindrop Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Finally Lego feels the power of the Dark Side! To me this series is the re-imagination of the classic board game Car Wars combined with the best of Death Race 2000 and its remake Deathrace. I don't know about fish bombs, but dynamite is effective at stoping other vehicles. Give the minifigs passengers some Tompson sub machine guns from the Indy sets and you've got it made. Agreed--although they also give off a distinctively Mad Max vibe to me. Quote
Randal Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 The more I look at these sets the more I like them. I'll probably wind up getting a few of the cheaper ones."Desert of Destruction" looks alright, too expensive for me. I'd like to see a review of it though. I added that one to the LDD official set thread. (where volunteers like myself contribute lxf files of sets made by Lego) ((I also used part of this set in today's "Brick" )) Quote
nismogrendel Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 I'm really getting into this theme lately. Picked up the dirt bikes (8896) and speedboat race (8897) sets today. I picked up the wreckage road set last week. I love the minifigs from this set. The dirtbike kit comes with the team extreme logo on one of the space police style helmet (helmet link) which is one of the coolest helmets I have seen, will go well with my SP3 figs. I think the next big purchase will be 8864 Desert of Destruction, I love how that black off road truck looks. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 2010 is coming to a close and there has been no sign of more World Racers. In fact we are seeing new and exciting things for the future. Therefor I shall be unpinning this thread to make space for 2011 discussion. Feel free to carry on using it though! Quote
prateek Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 This was one of the best Action Themes in a long time, so I'm sad and disappointed that it isn't continuing. Either that, or the Lego Insiders are keeping something from us Quote
Peppermint_M Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Well, if any 2011 news turns up, we'll make a new thread for it Quote
Oky Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 I found 30032 World Race Buggy in the Halloween section at Target, next to the collectable Minifigs. It was $2.99, I think. Unfortunately no trace of 30031 though. I'll make a review soon. Quote
The Green Brick Giant Posted September 21, 2010 Author Posted September 21, 2010 My guess is if there is a new WOrld Racers theme for next year that it would be in the summer and not the winter or spring so we wouldn't have the new pictures anyways. However this year we had PM and WR and both seem to have been replaced for next year with PQ and NinjaGo! Plus next summer we will most likely get Disney license sets with movies so less original themes. But hold out hope, we can still see some! Quote
The Brick Rat Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 I found 30032 World Race Buggy in the Halloween section at Target, next to the collectable Minifigs. It was $2.99, I think. Unfortunately no trace of 30031 though. I'll make a review soon. At the Targets around me, I've found 30031 hanging on the pegs near the cash registers. No idea why they're keeping 30031 and 30032 in different sections. Quote
BreedingtheSpawn Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 Hoping to buy some of the world racer sets, they look really awesome. Quote

prateek Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 Does the sale end Saturday of this week? I think Thursday is the last day. Just check toysrus.com to see. Quote

No idea why they're keeping 30031 and 30032 in different sections. I checked there regularly ever since you posted that, but I just can't find it. Oh, and that review might not be happening. I'm kinda busy now, and I don't think anyone cares for a review of such a small promo. I'll just say that it's a nice set to get that fig and those slope pieces, but otherwise not much. Quote

The Yellow Brick Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 I wonder why lego haven't released any Key chains or magnets for World Racers Quote
