LegoLover Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 does anybody think they should make something like this Quote
tophdawg Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 this would be an ok game, but it would not have as much of a plot because there is not enough different levels that could be made unlke lego star wars game Quote
MattZitron Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 this would be an ok game, but it would not have as much of a plot because there is not enough different levels that could be made unlke lego star wars game Yeah you could. Just off the top of my head: Gotham Street Chase. (As either Batmobile, or Dragster) Gotham BOAT Chase Gotham AIR Chase Penguin's Lair (Zoo) Mr.Freeze's Lair (Ice Castle) Joker's Lair (Funhouse) Two-Face's Bank Job Arkham Asylum Gotham PD (could be taken over) AND the equivalent of Dex's Diner coule be the Batcave. Those are some good idea's Matt. If they were to do a game I would love to see that. And it would be neat if you could play as either Batman or a Villain. Quote
Cutty Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 I remember having a Batman game for my old c64 computer that followed the events of the first Tim Burton movie. This game, though primitive by modern standards, was pure bliss! You started in the chemical plant, ultimately resulting in dipping this jack napier fellow into some acidous liquid, creating joker. following were a street chase via batmobile, a combination game for the Brand X joker products, a level in which you had to cut the strings of parade balloons with the batwing and to finish it off you had to fight youself up the mile-high cathedral to get the girl free and joker to fall to his death. I bet Lego COULD do something awesome if they a)hire the right people and b)put some thaught into their storyline (i.e. not limiting the whole gameplay to "chase baddy and arrest him/her in Arkham Asylum")... reideen1313 Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Personally, I think this is a great idea with lots of play value. The environments mentioned above would be good - there are a few more though that I, as a Bat fan, would like to see: Crime Alley (where Bruce's parents died - various thugs could be involved) Graveyard (where they're buried - even if it's just a scene that isn't playable, I want it in there) Gotham Botanical Gardens/Gotham Park (Ivy related environment) Penguin's night club (his lair isn't a zoo - that's just something that Burton made up) Bludhaven (for Nightwing specific adventures!) Commissioner Gordon needs to be in it, as does the Batsignal. Extras for beating the game could be alternate costumes for Nightwing, Batman, Robin, Batgirl, Catwoman, Joker, TwoFace, etc. Heck, I'd even be ok seeing some traditional LEGO villains (such as Ogel or his minions) make an appearance in the game! That's a fantastic idea! Unlocking the heroes' and villains' different costumes is very nice as a reward. Alternate models for the vehicles in the game would be a nice bonus, too! Imagine you could choose between 3 to 4 different Batmobiles to chase your baddy of the day! Of course the instructions for the models in the game would be available either in the game (after unlocking) or as download from Lego's website. Having Ogel, Brickster or Lord Sinister in the game would be awsome! Even if they just make cameo-appearances as inmates in Arkham Asylum or "Wanted" fliers in Commisioner Gordon's office ^^ Lego! There is sooo much potential in the idea, use it (waves hand jedi-style)!! I know some Lego employee WILL read this...hopefully   Quote
OOM-30 Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 Well, with the new info that they will be making a second LEGO Star Wars game, and that they will be making a "similar-style" LEGO Bionicle game, I think that the chances are quite good for a LEGO Batman game. Quote
