Hello everybody, my name is Clement, born 1986 and french.

I almost always liked lego bricks and after a dark age (ending in 2004), I use to play with Technic bricks. I also like system MOCs of any theme.

My creations can be seen in my BS folder : http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=Jakob. As you may notice, I prefer studded parts to studless ones. Maybe I’m too purist, but for me, studs are an essential part of the lego game, and studless parts (as well as new big metaparts) don’t have the lego spirit. Of course, I like new technic parts, as they allow the building of complex mechanism in tiny spaces, but studless beams? no thanks.

I’m part of the http://www.setechnic.com forum, a French forum dedicated to the Technic theme (and a little bit of starwars also). http://www.nicjasno.com is also one of my favourite website, even if I don’t build such huge LPE-powered cars. And I am joining http://www.freelug.com (but I still have to complete the registration).

I am also the administrator of a new (nov. 2009) website dedicated to Trial Trucks (TrTr): http://www.bricktrucktrial.com. It aims to regroup builders on a common English website and allows them to exchange on different questions about TrTr. The website is operational and i will make a specific topic to present the website.

I believe that eurobricks in a very living forum and that it will open my eyes to still unknown builders and MOC (unknown for me).

Welcome to the forums!

You have some nice creations, as a "skeptic" I encourage you to make sure your brickshelf images are saved to your computer, you wouldn't want to loos those. I really like your latest one, the yellow SUV.

Welcome Clement! Saw you post in my newbie technic thread. I've never owned technic sets but I've played with some of the pieces since they come in some sets such as the Winter Toy Shop. I never really liked the Technic sets but now with the Power Functions motors and all that, I want to get into the area where I can use some technic with regular Lego like many of you use in your trucks. I never liked the way technic sets look like someone used a machine gun on them. They have holes and gaps everywhere. Looks like I need to order some of those technic bricks that have studs on top for fixing plates on to.

I'm still deciding on a set. I want to have something to build in Christmas like a remote control truck vehicle.

i'll be a pleasure to read the forum, for sure!

edit : to make things clear : bricktrucktrial.com doesn't display only my trucks! ;)
