Recently I saw a pic on some custom chromed rims. They looked really like TLG´s chrome silver, and I wonder, is there anywhere I can get this paint? What kind of paint is it (spray etc)?

The pic (sorry, I dunno how to post direct pics from FlickR)

Thanks. :classic:

As I recall, reflective chrome is done by dipping elements into the stuff, instead of spraying it. It's quite expensive to do and difficult to achieve a smooth coat, from what I gather.

Chromebricks sell gold and silvered custom chromed bricks (these rims look like they're from there), and also do requests.

It may be worth contacting the owner if you're looking to do your own.

BTW, On Flickr, click All Sizes above the pic, then copy the image location

Actually those parts came from a different Bricklink Store!

its The Chromeshop!

The Chromeshop

And to add, the chroming process is not paint, it is liquid electroplating, where the parts are dipped in a solution containing the various metals and its a plating process.

Okay, thanks guys. :classic:

I may get a few, but they are expensive.. :sceptic: I had an idea for a MOC in which I need alot of chromed parts, but now I most likely won´t be building it, as it would be ridiculously expensive.

However, I might buy some for details, as they look really good.
