xwingyoda Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 Guys here is the other alternate I have build: the Uplink Speeder !!! Like Sne said, you cannot build the alternate with the pieces that are provided, because TLC changed the parts *wacko* (hence the white Technics parts as replacements) the mode looks great even if its really simple !! However two things are a bit annoying !!!! The gun moves and the back part is not stable as well !!! Enjoy ;) !!!!! Quote
snefroe Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 i bought this set for the alternate model! it's cool, bu it think you need to change the hinge positions a bit, yoda... Quote

KMOI Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Ooh! Me like! Though it resembles more of a turret than a speeder, I'll definately be picking up this set. Though it's mostly because I want the hair. :) Quote
Evil Willy Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 How do u make the alternate if there is no instructions..U try to look at the pic? Quote
snefroe Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 How do u make the alternate if there is no instructions..U try to look at the pic? 1) it's not that difficult. there's a drawing in the instruction book 2) there's also an instruction page on lego's website i started from the drawing, being to lazy to start up my computer, but that didn't go all too well. i coudn't fix the cannon. so i looked it up on their website. It was then that i figured out those two parts were missing. but honestly , it's not that difficult. After all, many of us used to create alternate models from boxes and instructions... nothing new... Quote
Evil Willy Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Ohh so there are instructions on the lego site..OK great :D Quote
snefroe Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Ohh so there are instructions on the lego site..OK great :D well, basically, four pages. i wouldn't really call it an instruction book Quote
Kahgarak Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 Very interesting!Try combining this with Sentry to make a better hovercraft. Quote
xenologer Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Like Sne said, you cannot build the alternate with the pieces that are provided, because TLC changed the parts *wacko* (hence the white Technics parts as replacements) I was just looking at the Inventory for this set on Peeron, and they seem to list the right pieces (short, not long technic beams) Could it be that just yours had a mistake? Or did they change their minds partway through production so some are different....? Quote
JoeMI6 Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 I've made this out of the second Uplink i bought, but i feel it is a little too flimsy. Even though the overall design is great. Quote
