G'day from Tigerland and Lightningtiger

You know I've been posting everywhere just about except here, so here I go.

I live in the humble city of Adelaide, married with 9 year old boy (I do feel like Al Bundy - Married With Children - sometimes), self-employed TV/radio tech, tiger fan (Glenelg - SANFL), crow fan (Adelaide Crows - AFL) and AFOL !

My first name is Shaun, but my mother-inlaw calls me 'Prawn', haha, yeah I can take a joke, that's for sure.

It was an off chance of my son watch Cartoon Network one March day in 2008, an ad, an ad for Lego City Police - 'Dad, I want the police station with the bad guys running away'. He got it for his birthday, I helped him and SNAP, I was hooked again like I was when I was ten. Of course then I fell into the darkness at 13 , but now back in the light of the brick !

With my son, I build the buildings and vehicles, his speciallity - minifigs - his greatest being a three headed police officer and a ten headed person, kids eh ?

Sadly he is ADHD and also a burns patient at WCH in Adelaide, Lego helps him with fine motor skills as it was his hands that were burnt when he was 20 months old. He is doing a lot better now and his next time under the knife is a few years away (I hope).

Hey Shaun,

All I'll say is go Roosters (remember 1987?, I have conveniently forgotten 1985 and 1986!). Although it must be a terrible position to be in with your son, I'm sure he is getting great care at the WCH, I used to work there (not in burns though) and they do a fantastic job.

PS It's great to hear of another not so young Adelaide guy getting back in to the lego.
