Pharosher Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Hello everyone, I am a new member that just joined today, although I have been looking at and enjoying the Eurobricks forums for several months now. My real name is Ryan, and everyone here is free to call me by that if they wish. I got engaged to be married several months ago (we are getting married in 2011), and found out that my fiance likes to play with Legos also!!! I was really surprised when she shared this with me, but at the same time I was very happy also. I have played with legos since I was probably 6-7 years old, probably even earlier. I honestly believe that playing with legos as I grew up helped me to form good skills that are useful in daily life (like time management and the ability to visualize what I am thinking of). These are also experiences that I plan to share with my children when we(my fiance and I) have them in the future. Space lego sets are my favorite theme, although Classic Space would probably rank as my #1 Space series always and forever. I will be posting my wanted list in the trading forum, which so far is going to consist of the very rare space sets (which I love collecting!). My plans are to collect some specific rare sets and display them in my house, and then go from there. I have some space sets now, but am currently selling pretty much all of them on Ebay to get a few sets which I have been after since I first heard of them (probably a good 6-7 years or so at the least). I am currently saving up money and working towards getting #1968 Unknown and #1593 Super Model (having the boxes and inner boxes/trays/plastic inserts is very important to me as well), and after that working on getting #4999 Vestas Wind Turbine. I will probably be pursuing sets and such after that, but those are definetely the big ones. We are saving to get a house as well, so I figured that getting the very big (expensive) sets first is probably the best idea, because once we get our house there will be more costs and responsibilities that will need to be taken care of. Thanks for reading! Quote
