In one of the countless missions of the Clone Army, to planets with hazardous terrains like Tatooine, the clone troopers found out that their Clone Walkers (the ones featured on 8014) didn't show much agility and proved to be a disadvantage agaisnt the CIS droid troops.

With not much time nor resources, the most creative Clones ended up creating the Air Speeder BOTS-4108 "Breeze of the Sands", a fast and heavily-armed speeder, that for hovering some meters above the ground, allowed a better performance when fighthing the droids.

Provided with a good agility, it is able of carrying 12 Clones, although the recomended number is 10, and the minimum possible Crew is 5 : a pilot, 2 gunners for the lateral missiles, a gunner for the rear battery and another gunner for the front bateries and top missiles!

With this, the Clones fought they could now get the upper hand on the droids, but that wouldn't prove to be true at all.

Satisfied with their victories and with the performance of their creation, the Clones quickly sent the Blueprints of BOTS to General Anakin Skywalker for avaliation and advice.

Unfortunately for them, General Skywalker wasn't very impressed with what he saw, and demanded they to do best, as in his words they could do best! He asked for an even more lethal airspeeder!

Without any time to loose, the Clones got their hands on work.

After a long period of R&D, the Republic Clones, shown up with a new proposal of a vehicle, the BOTS-4108b. They were very excited to show the new model to General Skywalker, but the Squadron Leader thought it would be best to test the vehicle first, for they could find some improvements to be made!

And the Leader was right (damn, he is Leader for something, no? ) and then several changes had to be made to model b for it to be pratical! This way, the BOTS-4107c was born, and its blueprints again sent to General Skywalker.

For the general happyness, Gen. Skywalker approved the new model with much satistation, showing even great will to try it out in the future. Clones received this news with great joy and renamed the vehicle as the HTAS-4108 "Hazardous Terrain Air Speeder"!.

In the meantime, we know of a secure source, that this model is beeing discountined to give place to a more evolved and resistent model. Many Bothans are dieing at the moment to bring you the pictures of said new model.

Some notes:

1 - This is the first MOC I show on EB. Actually it's the first god damn MOC I make in ages. Sadly. :cry_happy:

2 - Sorry for my bad english. It's much better, I am just rushing up this post in the middle of studying, and I am a bit tired of typing too.

3 - This model you see is made only of 8104 units (3 units), and the one I'll be showing later is made of 4 units (I had to buy an extra to make the vehicle stronger, because it was breaking appart all the time). It was a violent fight with my parents (they don't know the meaning of having multiple units of same set, nor of building an army), but hey I am like a clone, I don't quit, and I won in the end!

4 - Yes, I know that Clones can't almost breath inside it, because they are so over each other. But man, when you got a limited supply of pieces, you gotta be creative! (And even this way, I had to tear the whole thing a part a hundred times, because you know, this piece can't go here if I don't take that one, blah blah blah... ). If I could have made it better using parts not from the 8104? Sure I could, but I don't think it would value as much.

4 - Well, I think this post as gone to long, so now I am gonna shut up and let you comment.

That was real fun to read, I don't know if you did it on purpose, but it was.

About the model you ade, it looks good, but... yes, I think there's a but... The one you made on the computer looks more spacy than the actual one you build. It has a more airodinamic shape and somehow reminds me of and oldtimer or a corvette, which is good. The actual model you build looks less airodinamic, I would try to make it longer and maybe loose the black bricks on the side. The gun in front and the two in the back (or is it the other way around) looks real simple but really good.

Very interesting MOC, it's gret that it is only made from the battlepack sets.

It looks good and I persoanlly like how it holds so many clones but my only complaint is the armor, there seems to be lots of open spaces where stray blaster bolts could clip a clone. otherwise it's fun and functional, good job!

Good on you for your first MOC posted, very interesting idea, but Skywalker has always been hard to please ! :classic:

Excelent use of battle packs to make this speeder craft, very good.:classic:

Keep up the good work.

both are nice models, i like them  personally i like the first one(computer rendered) better, it has a unique sleek shape and a cage like cockpit which provides better shelter for troopers. i'd love to see that one built. good job overall!

Nicely done for only using the parts in the BPs.

The design is nice!

It would be crouded, thats okay though.

Looking forward to seeing the next one using 4 BPs. :sweet:

Very nice MOC it reminds me of the wookie flyer from 7258 I dont know why though. I like the cockpit bit on the MOC it does look very crowded in there but clones are meant to deal with anything.

Great MOC!
