The Penguin Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 (edited) Ladies and gentlemen! ) I'm proud to present you my latest LEGO creation, which I'm, really proud of - Goblin Engineers. ) I hope you'll like them! ) Chief Engineer Cranx. The most talented of the bunch, and the strongest (that's why he's a Chief engineer!). Known for his wacky mechanisms that actually work against all physical laws. ))))) His apprintice engineer Splincer. Is very sceptical about all new master's and even his own ideas (you can see that by looking at the expression on his face). But still he's a very talented goblin and a faithful friend. ) Engineer Borx. Has a very unstable mood and a master-bomber, which makes him an outcast in the goblin society because most of them simply fear him. However, somehow he mamages to work with Cranx and Splincer successfully. ) Cranx: Borx, what are you doing with this powder? Why is it all over the place?! Splincer: ....... Borx: Must-burn. Must-....... I hope you liked them, ladies and gentlemen! ) Any comments, please? ) Edited November 29, 2009 by The Penguin Quote

Lordofdragonss Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 How you do that? It's that magic? They looks like real, oficial minifigs! I want them in my ORC army! Quote
ADHO15 Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Wow! Tremendous, Penguin! They looks so great. I love the noses and the painting. It's a good way to use those Yoda heads from all your AATs. Very well done. Quote
Dennimator Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 (edited) Whoa! Those figs are excellent! Have you thought of selling them on BL or something? Strangely, they remind me of Yoda...( ) ..Maybe they are his ancestors? Edited November 30, 2009 by Dennimator Quote
General Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Has anyone said "stempunk" here? NO? So, let me be the fist! Great creation, Penguin, with nice steampunk atmosphere. I liked the gadgets, the glasses and the use of minifig hair for gunpowder. BTW, how dud you make Cranx's rifle and axe holder? Quote
BlueBard Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Excellent work TP! Your job with the paint is really impressive, as the modifications you did in some parts, specially in the first goblin's glasses Quote
Commander Flash Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Great customs! The goblin's heads are skillfully done, and the idea of using the hair as powder was great. Quote
Bobskink Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Relly cool and very original ideas, but, the figure doesn't look Lego anymore in my opinion. Quote
Hound Knight Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I use mostly greenstuff. ) I've got to make me some goblises with my Yoda and greenstuff. Thanks for the inspiration! Quote
Big Cam Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Holy cow, those look real. THe noses look great and the paint job is so LEOG normal looking. It barely loosk custom, which is the best kind of cutsom. Quote
GingerBreadKid Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 That's good stuff, but maybe a few could use a nose job (just kidding) Quote
Batbrick Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Fantastic goblin figures ThePenguin! I especially love Borx for that neat little belt satchel he has, though Cranx is great too. Wonderful paintjob on their faces, I didn't even recognise those as Yoda heads. Do you plan on making any creations for them? Batbrick Away! Quote
badboytje88 Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Wow this looks so very very cool! It looks so amazing. Il ike that you used one official head as base and changed it into three different heads with their own facia expression. It looks nothing like the yoda head you started with! Great! Quote
Sir Gecko Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Penguin, these are amazing, very good use of the Yoda head. Looking forward to your next “work.” Quote
Jebediahs Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Very cool! Thank you for sharing. ORC! Quote
CommanderFox Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 (edited) Penguin, these are... Amazing! But, How could you sacrifice 3 Yoda heads! I really like all the colours and little storys behind each of them. Very well done and im really looking forward to seeing more Figs from you! rafsemedo Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 OMG! These are brilliant! You're a master, dude! I thought instantaneously of Warcraft III when I saw this. I'm speechless... they are... FANTASTIC! Wish I could have them! Quote
ILikePi Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 I love these! Marvelous work as usual Penguin! You painted these very well - the heads don't even look like they used to be Yoda's anymore! Also, clever use of Hagrid's hair for the spilled oil! Quote
ADHO15 Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Also, clever use of Hagrid's hair for the spilled oil! Is it not this one? Quote
Grimmy Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 DOH! This post got my hopes up :/ I saw this on the front page and thought it was some new Goblin minifs for the Lego store build-a-fig workshop. These figures are awesome. They should make them for real! They remind me of the Goblin Engineers from World of Warcraft. They are really great. Looks like I got to get me some Yoda's :) Quote
