Nice service station, except you are missing two essentials: a Car Wash and a pavilion.

I left out these things out on purpose as it lives in a small country town. Having spent most of my life travelling through parts of Australia I've seen my fair share of country servo's, only the ones in towns with populations of over 1000 may have a car wash attached to them. A pavilion, which I feel you speak of over the top of the driveway would stop larger vehichles like semi-trailiers, tractors and even just a plain truck from fuelling up at the pumps.

Thank you for your comments though, there is no such thing as a bad comment in my books. :classic::thumbup:

Nice work! I like it!

Suggestion: Maybe add an Octan sign on the Roof?

Or one of those street visible signs?

A street visible sign, 'Macoco' that's a great idea - thanks for it.:thumbup:

I'll try and do something including posting it before the weekend is finished. :classic:

Having grown up and traveled in the Midwestern US, I agree with you and understand where your inspiration came from. Your station looks like a lot of older gas stations in that part of the USA. Car washes in small towns are often separate structures unaffiliated with the gas station, if there is even one at all. Pavillions are a bit more common on newer stations. Only the newest service stations have both. Your MOC looks very good, like it was built in the 1930s-1960s and had a few upgrades to the pumps since then. I see ones that look very similar to yours when I pass through very small towns on country roads. Sometimes they have been converted to other uses, with the pumps gone but the building remaining.

Thanks to all that have commented on this one, it has become one of my favorite MOC's I have ever designed and built.

I might see about designing an LPG tank to sit near by the service station and move the tyre dealership closer to it too. :classic:
