Klaus-Dieter Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 (edited) Thank you very much for the pics of the BM sets, whung! Target Practise Attack Wagon It's reall a shame that these will be BM sets (which I surely won't be aible to get). These would be the perfect Impulse sets and so definitely be the sets we should get as Impulse sets! Btw: I agree with you that there is a lack of shields - mainly which concerns the lion knights. I'm still hoping that so we'll get two soldier Impulse sets (dragon, lion) in 2011. Klaus-Dieter Edited March 6, 2010 by Klaus-Dieter Quote

Brickmaster sets are usually numbered with five digits starting with 2. These are each five digits starting with 3, like some other obscure promos we have seen for themes like Atlantis. Quote

Anachir, do you mean like the Imperial Speeder Bike which was given away in some special toy shops when you bought Lego Star Wars for more than 20 Euros? So they might be a small gift to everyone who spends more than xx Euros for Lego Castle in summer? Klaus-Dieter Quote
JCC1004 Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Dark Green knights, with dragon emblems. My Sig-Fig should have an army of knights. I really love this line. It's the human bs. human I've always wanted and the figures are just pure awesomeness. The structures are a big improvement over recent ones. There is also some classicness to these set. I've going to have to collect this theme. Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 (edited) I am a little suspisious about this news, but german shop-site Spielwarenoase.com has the Kingdoms sets listed, alongside some other stuff, that sounds more like it would be S@H exclusive. LEGO KINGDOMS FH Knights Battle Pack 11,20€ LEGO KINGDOMS FH Dragon Battle Pack 11,20€ LEGO KINGDOMS FH Angriffswagen (Attackwagon) 1,70€ LEGO KINGDOMS FH Fensterdeko Paket (windowdecoration box) 70,70€ LEGO KINGDOMS FH Mittelalterlicher Markt (medieval market) 85,50€ While the first two sound like one of this 5 figure Magnetset-esque Battlepacks like they did with Orcs and dwarves, the Attackwagon could be one of the promotional sets that leaked a few days ago, but the price seems a bit low. Windowdecoration box will probably something like Exo-Force childrens birthday party kit but medieval market should probably be a wide-release of 10193, but marketing it as a Kingdoms set seems to me impossible with the blue crown knights. A little bit confusing without any product-numbers. P.S. Prices in this shop are generally cheaper than the normal prices, so I guess everythingw will be a bit more expensive. http://www.spielwarenoase.com/advanced_sea...ego&page=17 Edited March 9, 2010 by Navy Trooper Fenson Quote
Etzel Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 (edited) I remember that we heard rumours about battle packs a while ago so I'm pretty sure those are real. The Attack wagon is most likely the one we saw recently as a promo set (but it's weird that the Target Practice set isn't listed too in that case). Never heard of something like a "window decoration box" or the Exo-Force birthday party kit you write about, I guess it's a store specific thing? And I agree with you, the medieval market set must be the 10193. As much as would like another awesome castle civilian set I can't see TLG making something so similar with that little time between. I was a little tricked by the price first, 85,50€ seemed very cheap for the 10193, but I checked their site and all the prices are below the S@H-price so I guess it's the same. Maybe TLG has decided to let the 10193 be selled in regular stores now and this store just thought that all the castle sets this year is supposed to be marked as "Kingdoms". Klaus-Dieter Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Thank you very much for this news, Navy Trooper Fenson! BPs for both sides sound great! As for the medieval market set listed there I, too, think that it's the 10193 MVV. Since there are that many Kingdoms sets coming out this year - even with a completely new line - it's very unsupposable that we'll get a Castle Exclusive, too. Maybe next year but not already this year. Klaus-Dieter Quote
UsernameMDM Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 (edited) I really wish battle packs would be more like the SW ones with a vehicle and 4 minifigs instead of 5 preassembled minifigs. Since horses are a real rarity in the new castle theme (only three in total) BPs which contain a horse and four minifigs would be perfect and are really necessary! Klaus-Dieter Quote

Klaus-Dieter I also agree with that. I would love to have some more mounted knights. Although dismounted swordsman are cool too. Quote
supertoad64 Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 That Fright Nights minifig pack is pretty well done. Too bad the shields were kinda dorky and nobody liked Willa (although her torso and dress slope are useful). FK is a pretty under appreciated theme considering the minifigs were pretty cool. For new minifig packs, 1 mounted knight, a swordsman, a bowman, and a peasant/princess/old wizard would be pretty ideal for me personally. I doubt TLG would include a civilian, though, as they are usually a draw for purchasing the more expensive sets. That, and they haven't really made one like that for quite some time. I hope they don't put the king in there! It seems most people have more kings then they need already. What would be really cool is if they made several different minifig packs, with the same basic assortment of figs, but slight differences in torsos, faces, accessories, etc. Then the fourth spot could be filled by a different type of minifig and collecting all of them would give a nice diversity of figs. That would probably be pretty cost prohibitive, though. Quote

I totally agree with you, supertoad64! This would be the perfect minifigure combination which would satisfy JFOLs as well as us AFOLs! A bowman is anyway really needed since TLG seems to have been nearly deleted of its castle minifigure list - it does not appear nearly nowhere in a set although bowmen are imo much cooler than crossbow knights. More horses are really needed, too, and of civilians you can never get enough, too. Klaus-Dieter Quote
Santhor Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 I think that-hence the name "Kingdoms" TLG should expand on the kingdoms-make stables (3-4 horses, 2 squires, 2 knights, etc.-$40) or town stables (2 apprentices, 1 older guy, wife/maid, 3 horses, cows, or pigs-$35) and things like a REAL blacksmith, not just the 10193 ones-8x12, and 6x12.... BIG ones, like a whole 24-32 square baseplate...... Also they should make another Kingdoms marketplace, with more stalls and vendors. -Santhor P.S. sorry if this is in the wrong place. Quote
Darth Hawken Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 In my Opinion It world be cool If they had some sets in the time of peace and not focus on the evil characters just having a normal Stable, BlackSmith, Market, Knight Outpost, Feilds of Crops, and a Garrasion that way kids could learn how to play in time of peace not periods of war and this would also please AFOLs Quote

While it is possible to create medieval sets around non-violent conflict, it is much easier and initially striking if they are. What I mean is, when kids see a set that has two distinctly identified factions both equipped with weapons, it is easier for them to immediately visualize how they will role play with it then it would be if the set had civilians with generic soldiers and no apparent violent conflict. True. Plus, knights are a part of medieval culture most kids sort of understand. If they were given sets with primarily civilian minifigs they might not even know what to do with them. For the City theme, sure, kids can come up with nonviolent role-play stories easily, but with Castle medieval warfare is what most people will be familiar with. Quote
