Big Cam Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Wow, looks impressive, any shots of your actual progress so far? Quote
Milan Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Hello, Why don you introduce yourself? Looking good, a bit blocky, though. When you take snapshot in MLCad or LDView, try to click option Zoom to fit...that way you will have maximum use of picture, I mean you will have less unused background! Looking forward to next update, and please write something about this excavator! Quote

Milan Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Hm, there are only renders in your gallery, do you have some photos of your actual building process? You can turn this tread in "MOC in progress", and update it with real photos, MlCad photos can be more like a preview of what the excavator should look like, and you can post a picture of your real world inspiration. I have few remarks if you are going to use everything like in your picture... First, undercarriage is weak, it will bend terribly under load of the superstructure. Second, arm is weak, you will notice it is very flimsy when you start building it. Third, pneumatic cylinders don't have enough power to operate arm that size, you will need very strong compressor for that, and cylinders will move very slow. About that excavator of mine...I don't want to show it yet, it is not finished yet. In a 15 days it will be done. Quote
