Question about cannons in 2009 Pirate Sets

Hi! Once I've read that western sets sold in USA had non-shooting cannons. Is the same true with 2009 pirates sets?

Well, think about this; Western was discontinued at least 10 years ago... Things have certainly changed a lot since then.

But that means now, since children like things that shoot because they have devilish little minds sometimes(), the cannons do shoot in all the Pirates II sets, in all countries.

Both my cats bat the cannons around if I leave them out on a table despite the fact I've never shot a cannon at either of them. Must be those keen feline senses.

Since I live in the US, I do have to say how nice it is to have shooting cannons in the states again. Up until last year I had to purchase shooting cannons from overseas. Gets pretty expensive.

Yes. Thank goodness! It really sucked when they stopped producing shooting cannons in the US. It was near the top of my list of reasons to hate lawyers for a long time. I've got three cats....hmmm. I think I'd rather bounce a well placed 1 x 1 off one of those lawyers.
