Lego Camper (7639)

Hi Guys.

I'm trying to find the Lego Camper for an Xmas present. I've been into town today and I can't find it any where. Toys'r'us, Argos x2, Tesco, all the shops that sell lego don't have it any where.

I've been online and none of their shops have it in stock. Its on amazon but its £24.99 The RRP is 13.99

I've looked on the lego website and I think I will have get it from there.

Any ideas why it has suddenly vanished? Is this the same case as the Patrol Boat and Tower for the Coast Guard (7739)

All coast guard sets are discontinued and you may find stocks in some stores around the globe, but when they run out that's it no more and up goes the prices on those that remain MISB.

Now the camper, that could also be on the outer already to get set for 2010. Australian retailiers including online ones still have stock of them and the online ones do international sales as well. Here's a list of the main ones in the land of oz.

You could try emailling them and ask if they have both the camper and coast guard boat, how much, etc.,.

If you can get it on LEGO.com, do it, they charge the actual price unlike some others.

I very much doubt the Camper is going to be discontinued anytime soon; it's not even a year old in the shelves. From where I live, it's stock is healthy, every store that sells LEGO has them. shop.lego.com also has it (and coast guard sets too)

That was my first thought, but with so many websites/places suddenly listing it as 'out of stock' I began to wonder.

The Coast Guard Patrol Boat and Tower is still available in the US.

I wouldn't count on sets being discontinued after not being on the shelf for even a year, take a look at the Coast Guard Platform, Coast Guard truck and boat, and the Police Pontoon plane. They all came out in 2008, and they barely lasted eight to ten months.

Bought it in one of their physical stores (Blanchardstown Dublin) a few weeks back. That site delivers to the UK.
