I hope we're talking about the same snake here, but...

My friend has one. It's a nice easy-going, non-venomous snake. If it bites you, it'll probably just sting a bit, like getting a shot in the arm. But you certainly won't need any anti-venom.

Just make sure you don't get one that's mean.

That's very helpful IMO  . One thing I suggest to do is to see if the snake likes you before you buy it. :classic:

Ugh, non-venemous snake bites still hurt a lot. They have a lot of teeth, and they're all pointed inwards. That's always fun to get off the arm.

I had one non-venomous snake, don't remember the English name for her.

About 50 cm, thick as a finger.

Fed her with a (very) small frogs, Was really interesting to observe her twisting on a branch or taking a bath in hers poll, not to mention feeding!

I let her go at the end!

Never had problems with her!

Have you ever had that happen to you personally?

Not personally, but I work at a museum that has snakes for interpreting with. I was standing next to somebody who it did happen to, and it wasn't fun.

I do like snakes, though. They're fun to hold, but I'm not sure about them as pets. They're not quite as snuggly and warm as a dog, cat, or bird is.
