Ever built something just from looking at one part and thinking "How can I use this in something"?

This is exactly how my 4-wide Roadster was made. While trying to get ideas for a new car to make I noticed some of these car base 10X4X2/3 plates that I never used. I tried to find some way to incorporate it, and half an hour later I have this nice classic-styled car. It also seems that my three space models were all started from me just trying to find a way to use their windshields.

Only when I was younger!

Now I spend few days on computer to build a MOC virtually.

I no longer build like that, but I did in my younger days.

I think your car looks a little disproportionate, very long and not wide enough for it's length, and is the back suppose to be a truck bed?

Unfortunately, sometimes.

I look at a piece, and think; 'Wow, what an awesome piece! How can I incorporate it in a MOC, I've just got to use it!'

I don't find it effective, though, as it is better to come up with an idea, and then fin suitable pieces for it.

Well said!

Exactly my thought!

Exactly what I was about to say! ;)

If I get to MOCing something I usually know what I want to build/achieve weeks before I start modelling.

In the modelling fase I just try to find the best pieces to reach my goals going through several options untill I find the solution.

When the model is virtually complete and I'm satisfied with the result, I order the needed pieces on BrickLink and build the model :)

A new MOC is virtually almost finished :cry_happy:
