The Hordesman Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 My ideas would be the following schemes: Dark red, black and light grey black and light grey white and dark grey Of course, making minifigs with alot of light grey or dark grey isnt the easiest thing, but those are colorschemes that would be cool if the lighter color on the scheme is used less than the darker, so certain areas would be "lighten up". They are also color schemes that look nice and have not (to my knowledge) been used before. ;) If your a customizer though, the minifigs wont be a such a big problem. Saber Scorpion has some very nice custom armies that may be inspiring to look at, too. Quote
Yuppley Posted January 14, 2006 Author Posted January 14, 2006 Yes, I know Scorp, like his Xarkon and Victory. Quote

Yuppley Posted January 15, 2006 Author Posted January 15, 2006 I'm trying to get the colours of the army I'm making, and I have givin you some names and weaponry on the ships, etc, so you can conjure up a picture. Quote
Lost Viking Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 I just don't see the point. Is this "army" imaginary? Or will it be done out of LEGO? Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 I'd suggest you just use the colors you have most of, or you'll end up spending a fortune on Bricklink... Quote
Yuppley Posted January 15, 2006 Author Posted January 15, 2006 Lost Viking: No, its gunna be done out of lego. Kikuichimonji: I don't mind spending a *bit* on bricklink, 'cause most of my pieces are pretty out of wack for most of the ships, and most of the colours are different. Quote
SuvieD Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Based on name and I would say location your army seems from the amazon or something. You could try brown/tan/green. This is hard to pull off but might be worth a try. I would personally go brown or green, black, yellow and trans clear for windscreens. For small atmospheric fighters I would use the clear Borhok parts with the streaking in brown or green for windscreens. More black parts are made than any other color so that would help in having a good variety of parts to choose from for building. Yellow for a touch of brightness, weapons or greebs. I might also go with brown tops and black bottoms/wings/engines. For the army itself you could get some green UFO figures that could due nicely or if you have some Rascus figures switch out to a space helmet and give them some black lasers. Good luck on all of your 22 designs. I think you will get bored of it long before you finish them all so I recommend either saving the ones you want to do most until last or just doing one from each class and then see how it looks.
