...I... I guess I should get to work on those engines. I'll try my best to help.

I think I could try to help; I'll go down with the two of you as well.

The stab wound, did it go deep through the victim? That would imply that it's something a little bigger than a kitchen knife.

What are you talking about? Many kitchen knives have blades; Chef's knives, Sushu knives, carving knives. The list goes on and on. Are you trying to cover something up?

I agree with the rock thingy. It makes most sense for us to try to go after the blastedr killer first, as it seems likely that they are working for the wieners. I, too would like to see the Lt. Cmdr. on the list as well though.

Okay, time to point fingers? Good, I've got a few fingers to point.

Lt. Cmdr. Susan Antares - You asked the protector to protect you last night since you were high in command. We know from experience in other games... of life... that wieners don't go after people according to rank, so this may just be a clever ploy to find out the protector's identity.

Security chief Michael Sheridan - You agreed with Susan, and then today randomly attacked Florentzia.

Leonard "Leo" Nyer - I sent my suspects to him last night, and he has yet to respond in any way, perhaps afraid to validate them. The evidence against him is by far the least.

Well, those are my suspects from most supect to least. These are all of course completely based off actions, and not any form of evidence, and I have no way of backing them up. I'm also not even claiming their infected, simply saying we should be watchful of them. I may be very wrong, I'm not a very good judge of character, I'm not even that good at conversations. I speak binary quite well though

I'm not sure we can really use someone's rank or job as evidence at this point. Sure, the security guards have firearms, the kitchen staff have excess to knives, but there's really nothing to stop anyone from stealing a weapon in the midst of this confusion.

If we do have an investigator and they were able to find something out, it's too early for them to reveal themselves, so I think we're on our own at this point. We have a ticking clock too, so trying to wait this out isn't an option. I believe our best plan of action is to take a stab in the dark really, and hope for the best.

In an attempt to get things moving, I will vote: Jad Suur/Darkness Falls. He seems slightly suspicious to me, and his job of maintenance could be covered by the engineers and reactor chief in the case something happens to him. If someone has a better suspect to vote for I'm willing to listen.

Ahem. Please remember that there's to be no voting the first 24 hours of the game Day. As stated in the opening post voting may start at 18:20 UTC Sunday 15th of November, it's now 17:59 UTC. So this vote will not count. (you may revote in 22 minutes though )

I'm afraid we're not being given any alternative but to play a bit of the blame game.

Clearly, these weiners came aboard in a way that allowed them to blend with their environment and lie in wait for the right time to attack us. That makes it seem like they were in the food. We have dead bodies and one clearly knifed. I'm looking very strongly at our chefs at this point.

Hah, very clever. Blame the chefs because the aliens look like human food. A very dodgy move, Lieutenant, and while you may be on to something, I will not vote to convict the chefs because of the appearance of the aliens.

I'm going to have to agree with you. We can't just stand by, we need answers. Jad Suur has been suspicious to me as well, so I'll support that vote.

Vote: Jad Suur/ Darkness Falls

Don't forget to revote, if you really want to convict this guy.

Bah, I forgot about that. Let's try this again: vote: Jad Suur/Darkness Falls

I'm saying did the stab wound look like it went through the victim, or did it merely penetrate one side? If it only stabbed trough one side of him and not completely through that would imply some sort of kitchen knife. Though now that you mention it one of our cooks is extremely large and might have to carry a larger sort of blade... I'm merely trying to find out what sort of blade it was so we can maybe rule out certain people.

So just because the higher ups have been targeted we're suspicious of the lower ranked crew members? What if it is someone who is within higher ranks that has the proper tools and authority to do so?

Ah, I hadn't read this post- I agree, the rank of our crewmates really shouldn't factor into this at all, as anything that has happened could be a result of stolen/nabbed weapons OR those befitting the items using them. It's all up in the air. Thanks, Leo, you'd certainly be a great help!

I'll be working on the engines all day, and through the evening. If you'd like a group of trustworthy people- perhaps ALL of us, to come with me, by all means, do so. I think, if we're going to be doing any maintenance on these engines, we should all go down together, so no one has the opportunity to sneak off. I think I'm more of the grease-monkey of us all and I can have La'h'Rok and Leo direct me in any way to attempt to fix these engines.

I'm not sure if I could repair the engines in order to get us out of this black hole, but I'll certainly try my best.

Just throwing this out there, I found a similarity in the security captures:

Here's a shot from last night:

07.jpg

And here's a shot from yesterday:

02.jpg

See the similarity? The killer, on the left side of both pictures, is posed in almost the exact same way. I don't know what this means, if anything, but I was hoping one you might.

Well provided we all stay away from the guy running in that hallway of the ship we should be safe.

And let's not forget Lt. Cmdr. Antares. She has access to our blasters too and strangely wasn't present this morning. She was also closest to the scene when our Captain was murdered, could she have been infected? It puts us all in a dangerously prone position if she is! Add to that she was disappointingly absent from her quarters when I called by last night. Shame... I wore my beautiful new cocktail dress too.

Every member of the crew has a blaster, so while we're not forgetting me, let's not forget everyone else as well. The many blasters out there are the reason I was going to focus on the knife, but I realise my mistake in narrowing it to kitchen staff, given that the medical crew has knives of their own. As for my absence last night, it's true, I was out and about trying to observe something useful, which I did, to a point. Sadly, at this stage, I can't know for sure if it was something bad or not, but it is interesting that they have commented today but didn't mention the encounter. That makes me suspicious of what they wanted to do, but it doesn't convince me that they are bad. Yet. It does tell me that they aren't either of the killers, but again, that doesn't prove innocence from other things.

Fassin's wounds are much larger than could be inflicted with our medical instruments - especially a scalpel. No, there's no doubt this was a long bladed weapon. I wouldn't rule out a kitchen knife either.

You people have bigger things than scalpels just for operating on the trolls our larger crew members, don't be silly.

I don't know what these other games of life you've experienced are, you sound like a raving lunatic with such talk, but I can tell you that an enemy is likely to go after it's most dangerous opposition and I would qualify in that regard, so it was natural for me to be concerned. I still am. Losing our pilot was clearly an attack on the command crew, of which I am a part.

It was a good idea, but I have discussed this matter with our AI and she says that there are no clues in the pictures, sadly. You may confirm that in the other topic, if you wish.

Gasp! She almost used the T-word! Racist! :oh:

Okay, I don't want to get into ranting about how us Aprahanti have been oppressed for centuries with slurs like "troll" and "ogre", so I'll just express my opinion about the suspicions going on.

First of all, we do not know if the knife in the security cam screenshots really is from the kitchen, so accusing me or Ivan the terrible cook just based on that is absurd. Also, I'm aware that Jad Suur likes to run off his mouth, but for me, that makes me less suspicious of him. People who have something to hide usually don't babble like he does. :sceptic:

Lt. Cmdr, I didn't mean to be inflamatory with my words. I'd hoped you'd be at your quarters last night and was disappointed when you weren't. Not only that it led me to feel suspiscious... who can blame a girl in a time like this?! I sincerely hope we reach a resoluation to this soon. It fills me with hope to think that someone might be on track to putting things right.

Not silly! At university I completed a degree in Xeno-biology. Personally, I'd use a laser-scapel for surgery on our larger, sturdier shipmates. I abstain from violence, so don't carry a blaster. 'Make (Lots of) Love Not War' has always been my way. Anyone on this ship has access to kitchen knives, not just the kitchen staff. And let's not forget anyone could have taken a large bladed weapon amongst thier possessions - maybe not initially for such heinous use - but that's how it may have panned out :cry_sad:

Losing our pilot was clearly an attack on the command crew, of which I am a part.

It seems that command staff would be a likely target for the infiltrators. As I've heard say "Cut off the head and the rest of the creature dies..." *shudder*...

Ok, I am puzzeled of who I should vote for at the end of the day but I have some clues as to who is infected. For one why would a security guard be so stupid to use a gun to shoot them as the guards wouldn't want to be caught. The kitchen staff were mean't to be in bed but there is a possibility that they came away. The alien that got killed was obviously out of bed doing something so it is likely he had a night action.

Jad Suur seems to not care much about this whole situation and is content to mess around with the engines, even with his job. We have enough engine power ya know.

...I'm a maintenance guy. Isn't fixing things in my job? Is there anything else I should be working on right now? The reason I want to work on the engines is because I'm very concerned with the situation.

Anyway, after discussing with the AI and other members of the crew, I've realized that, even with our combined efforts, I don't think we'll be able to get these engines running again, especially if we're busy trying to find out who the infected are. We should focus on that.

Thanks for pointing that out sooner rather than later. :classic: I don't want to go crazy already. Hah, hah... hah... ha...

Sorry about the long nap... I went to my quarters for a nap and when I tried to come back my door wouldn't open... I guess no one heard my screaming? :look:

I agree also I don't even think we have knives of that length in the kitchen. :look:

It looks more of a antique blade thats generally not used for combat but rather sitting on a shelf collecting spacedust.

Are you suggesting my fellow chef Wicwa is responsible for this horrible killing!? Purely based on the fact that the murder weapon was "big enough" ? This is bullplop! I don't know if you're innocent or not but you're a freakin' idiot! :hmpf:

Easy there- I'm just trying to analyze the situation. I fully recognize (as stated later) that anyone could have stolen a larger knife or any weapon of the matter.

My computers have records of such attacks in them, not with space weiners of course, but with a group of people locked in a isolated area with hidden enemies. I was simply stating that you could be luring people in as a trap. You see I did not vote for you, which means that my suspcious are not very strong, simply something I thought I'd share in case I die tonight. And anyone could die tonight, of course. Better to share now than not at all.

As for your claim that I sound insane, well, humans are fairly prodictable, and that seems like a normal enough defense. I won't hold it against you.

Is anyone else going to vote? Currently there are two votes for Jad Duur. I don't want to take shots in the dark, but what choice do have at this point?

The only person I find suspicious so far is you. You and Sir Dillon have both voted with little evidence against Jad Suur and now you're trying to convince us all to vote for someone just for the sake of voting. If you were infected it would be pretty easy for you to decide who to vote for as the infected seem to know who is un-infected, judging by the way they've been killing at night. Perhaps you are one of the infected and we should vote for you instead?

I'll do that, just in case.

Vote: Jim Butcher/Florentzia

Or perhaps you are doing this to sway the vote. I'm saying that as a fact, but it's possible. I'm going to hold off on voting for now.

I would probably think that if I were you too. Florentzia just seems suspicious and if I had to vote, he's my lost likely suspect. I certainly don't expect a bandwagon to form for him but I think it bears keeping an eye on him.

I wonder why the killer chose to kill the pilot and mechanic ,they seem like that last peopleto kill in my opinion as they are necisary for keeping the ship running.Theres also a possibility that the killer isn't infected.
