danim Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Here is my Moc of the famous motorcycle jump from the movie The Great Escape Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 The part I like is how you have mounted the bike to be midair. Now I could be wrong, but of what I remember of the film wasn't the fence that McQueen crashes into like poles stuck in the ground at angles to form crosses and heaps of raror wire strung between. Still very good. As Rocky cried in Chicken Run, 'Freedommmm'. Quote
Big Cam Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Clever way of keeping the bike suspended in mid air. That's a great scene too, and a great movie! Quote
danim Posted November 9, 2009 Author Posted November 9, 2009 Thanks for the comments. Now I could be wrong, but of what I remember of the film wasn't the fence that McQueen crashes into like poles stuck in the ground at angles to form crosses and heaps of raror wire strung between. Yes the fence in the movie was different and slightly smaller, being 7ft high while mine is about 10-12ft high. The reason I built it as I did is that I felt it made it slightly more dangerous (also I was not sure how to build the smaller fence here is a photo of the scene from the movie Quote
Captain Genaro Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 I would have liked it if you had added some vegitation ( plants, trees ect) but still, a classic scene from a classic movie Quote
spade450 Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 One of my favorite moves! I would have recognized the scene even if you had not told us what it was. You captured it very well and the suspended bike is beautiful. The only change that I would make (and it's a small one) would be the hair color for "Steve" -- maybe more blondish if you have it. danim Posted November 21, 2009 Author Posted November 21, 2009 Thanks for your comments I have now changed steve's hair to brown and there are now trees and plants around it. Pics coming up soon Quote
